CHAPTER FORTY

I am now preparing myself because I am going to meet Tiger at his company. He texted me yesterday that he wants to talk about the contract and the shoot that I really looking forward to. Naunahan niya kong mag-text kagabi para rito. Raymart and I are now okay. The kids will be going with me while he's going to visit his hospital on tagaytay.

"You sure you don't want to come with me?"

I asked while he's busy fixing his tie. I went to him and volunteer to help him.

"As much as I want to, baby, hindi puwede. Nagkaroon ng problema sa ospital at kailangan ko silang tulungan doon. Why don't you just cancel your meeting and just stay here on our house and wait for me to come back? You know you don't really need their company, I think that they are not worthy."

Napatigil ako sa pag-aayos ng kanyang kurbata at napatingin sa kanya. He lifted his brow as a sign of asking why did I stop fixing it for him.

"Don't say that. Alam ko ang pinapasok ko, Raymart. Stop belittling their capabilities."

"Okay, just make sure that bastard will not come close to you again. Pasalamat siya at marami akong ginagawa dahil kung hindi ay sasamahan kita buong maghapon hanggang sa matapos ang trabaho mo sa kanila."

My lips twitched a bit and I didn't dare to talk again. Mali ba na makaramdam ako ng inis dahil sa kanyang tinuran? Wala naman siyang masamang intensyon kay Burnnon but hearing him saying that Burnnon is a bastard makes me want to slap him. I don't know why I suddenly felt annoyed.

"Ingat ka doon, Amillianza. Huwag kang papayag na malapitan ulit ng gagong 'yon. Trabaho ang pupuntahan mo doon at hindi siya."

I got pissed on what he said but I let it passed. Ayokong mag-away na naman kami. Kahit na hindi ko nagugustuhan ang ibig niyang ipakahulugan dito ay mas mabuting manahimik na lang dahil ayokong magsimula ng gulo sa aming pagitan. Hindi ko alam kung anong nangyayari sa kanya at ganyan siya kung magsalita. I thought were already good but hearing him say those words made me think again if we were really okay.

Sabay kaming bumaba sa living room only to see Bainurn helping Amaia fixing it's hair. He help her sister putting some clip on her hair. Amaia just smiled at him and give him a thumbs up. I smiled widely at them when they notice my presence. Tumakbo palapit sa amin si Amaia habang si Bainurn naman ay naglakad lamang palapit sa amin.

"Dada! You look so handsome today!"

Tumawa si Raymart at agad na binuhat si Amaia while Bainurn looked at me awkwardly while scratching his nape. I asked him why and he nodded his head at me. Urging me to lean on towards him.

"M-Mommy, you look so beautiful today, actually everyday but t-this is the day that I-I have the c-courage to say it to you."

Tinignan ko siya at nginitian. Namula naman kaagad ang kanyang mukha pagkatapos ko siyang ngitian. Aw, my baby is so sweet.

"I love you, baby."

He placed his two palms on his face and stepped two steps backward. He immediately lowered it and spoke.

"I love you too, mommy. It's embarrassing, you know."

I just laughed on his last sentence. Hay nako, anak. Masyado ka talagang mahiyain.
