Chapter 35

A/N: I really didn't expect the flashback to be that long so I'll cut it off for awhile and write Killua's POV first. I bet you're really excited to know his reaction when he sees Gon and Rikka together!

Killua's POV

It's the day of the festival. I can't believe time passes so fast. I even woke up before my alarm went off so I rose from the bed and got ready.

I didn't really wanna go to school today because I was still guilty about what I did. No matter how I explained it to Rikka, she won't listen to me.

"I'll just say sorry again. I know she'll forgive me sooner or later..." I encouraged myself which was really useless.

"Killu, I'm leaving for work." knocked Illumi on the door. "Do you want a ride on your way to school?"

I got my bag and opened the door, seeing him there in his black formal suit. "Sure. I want to be early today anyway." I replied to him.

Once when we were in his car, he started it and the automobile sped on the road smoothly.

To break the silence, Illumi talked, "You look gloomy."

"Haven't I looked this way even when we were kids?" I answered him defensively.

"No, not that kind of gloomy." He stated. "I mean, a darker gloom has been hanging around your aura ever since 2 days ago..." Aniki changed gears as he drove faster.

"You even use Gyo to see my aura everyday? How sneaky, Aniki..." I frowned at him suspiciously like a stalker. So Illumi has been checking me...

There was no smile on his face but I'm sure he was about to. "I am sneaky. Why do you think are we trained for?"

My mind thought of whips and punishments Illumi gave me in my childhood days. Before, he told me to walk quietly as much as possible he won't hear a sound. Because of my fear of Illumi, I walked in silence with so much perfection.

"Yeah...." I glanced down on my lap. I suddenly gasped when I felt him put his hand on my shoulder. "O..Oi! What are you doing-"

He steered the car on the side of the road and stopped. Illumi faced with me seriously. "I'm sorry for treating you like some pet that needs to be trained. How I wished before I could just train you in your own pace but Grandfather told me to hurry you up because..you had potential."

Why...is he only doing this now?

My cheeks warmed up and my eyes teared up. "Yeah, I sure had potential. It's fine. Just forget about it." I faced the window so he wouldn't see my face. Then he turned on the car again and moved on.

Before I knew it, Illumi parked the car in front of the gate of the school. I bid my goodbyes at him but something was lifted between us-that invisible barrier.

"See ya." I said to Aniki and closed the door.

I put my hands inside my pockets and brought out my skateboard that was inside my bag so I skated inside the campus.

When I think about it, when was the last time I skated? Oh yeah...the first phase of the Hunter Exam. It was also the time I met Gon, Leorio and Kurapika. Speaking of them, why don't I give Kurapika a call?

I punched his number on the screen and brought the phone to my ear. It rang for three time before he answered, "Yo Kurapika."

"Hey. It's so sudden for you to call me. What's up?" The Kurta survivor asked.

I sighed and said, "Nothing really. It just crossed my mind to call you."

"Woow, you surely are weird. I'm almost at the school now by the way. I'll meet you at the classroom. See you." Kurapika ended the call.

I frowned and pouted, "That blonde..not even letting me say 'bye'." I shook my head at his action and walked inside the huge campus.

If I could apologize to Rikka more sincerely maybe she'll forgive-

"Gon, just stop teasing me about my bed hair!"

I turned my head around and saw Rikka laughing like no problem had happened at all. She was with Gon as usual since they are neighbors. I wonder when Gon had become that close to her....

My eyes grew large when I looked at them closely. They were holding hands...wait..what?

I saw Gon place a kiss on Rikka's forehead as they walked towards my direction. Seeing them happy like that, my blood boiled and I clenched my fist in anger. At first, I decided to throw a punch at my bestfriend but that might make Rikka angrier so I backed down...

I heard them whispering to each other 'I love you's so sweetly I might puke in disgust and hurt. There was nothing I could do to change that scene in front of my very own eyes. She was not mine anymore...Rikka's with Gon, who will surely make her happy.

IM GOING TO MAKE ANOTHER STORY! *grins* And imma post it soon once I'm done editing all of it. :3 Just to give you a little information about it, the genre will be action and it's still a fanfic of HxH. xD Because of that, I'm going to put WUTDC(check my stories) on hold because it will stress me out. Hahaha

Question: Who has finished reading and watching Hunter X Hunter? Will there be another arc? Because I heard some rumors it will be ending soon. :(
