Episode 53: Meeting

The days were passing by and all of them were enjoying their vacations. They went out almost everyday. It could be to an amusement park or just any local store the girls wanted to check out.

They didn't fight at all. It was very peaceful. The only time you could hear someone yelling was when Joy called Chaeyoung. Apart from that, the four girls were behaving really good. Even Lisa.

Right now they were eating at a restaurant because Jisoo wanted to treat them, but they didn't know the restaurant specialty was chicken. 

"How can you not have wings at this point? You eat chicken wings everyday." Lisa asked the older girl in disbelief.

"They are slowly growing." Jisoo reassured her and the girls laughed.

They were almost finished when Jennie received a call and excused herself from the table. When she came back her face was pale.

"Jen, are you okay?" Lisa asked seeing the color in Jennie's face.

Jennie cleared her throat.

"Mjum, do you have anything to do anything after here?" Jennie asked the maknae and the latter was already feeling a little off.

Why is she asking?

"I'm busy." Lisa lied just in case Jennie wanted to murder her somewhere. But that's Lisa's stupid logic.

"You're not. You told me you were completely free this two weeks." Chaeyoung interrupted and Lisa glared at her.

"Aren't you supposed to back me up?" Lisa asked annoyed at her best friend but Rosé just shrugged her shoulders. Not caring a little bit.

Then Lisa felt being smacked in the head.

"Ouch! What the hell?!" Lisa said while rubbing her head and looking at Jennie who previously smacked her.

"You deserved it." Jennie said and started to get up from the table. Then she looked at Lisa and extended her hand.

Lisa just looked at Jennie's extended hand and back to the glare the mandu was sending.

"C'mon, my parents are waiting for us." Jennie said getting impatient with the maknae.

Meanwhile, Lisa's face was becoming pale. Now she knows why Jennie was pale awhile ago. It was a call from her parents. Meaning they were already here after their work in the USA.

It was Jennie's parents that she was about to meet. The very powerful couple that owns too many companies to name. The ones who could make you go to jail while being innocent or that's what the rumors are. The kims are well known around the world and they don't waste time in meetings.

So why is Lisa being asked to go and meet Jennie's parents?

"I told you before. I'm not your girlfriend so I don't have to meet your parents." Lisa joked trying to recover herself from looking like a corpse.

Jennie was about to smacked her again but she tooked a deep breath instead. They were still at the restaurant and didn't want to bring any attention to them.

"You were with me that night." Jennie simply said and looked away. Not wanting to get emotional.

Lisa realized why she was being summoned and tooked Jennie's extended hand right away while standing up. Making Jennie looked at her by the sudden touch. They looked into each other's eyes and understood every unsaid word.

"Let's go?" Lisa said and Jennie slightly smiled at her.

"Thanks for the food Chu. Enjoy your date." Jennie said while walking away and sending them a wink.
