We reach the shore and Thorin looks confused "That should have taken longer." I smile and wiggle my fingers at him "Your welcome." he chuckles softly "Thank you." I nod and stand jumping to helping Bilbo and the dwarves out of the boat before handing them the supplies "What do we do with the boat?" Thorin shrugs "We just leave it here." I nod and jump to shore.
The dwarves start walking and I sling my pack onto my back along with two more water skins. Bilbo smiles slightly "Do you think... Do you think we're all going to make it?" I turn to hobbit worried "What makes you ask that?" he shrugs slightly "I just... The dwarves have all worked so hard to get here. I don't want it to be for nothing." I smile and squeeze his shoulder gently "Bilbo I promise that you are all going to survive this. I vowed to protect the dwarves and yourself. If that involves fighting a fully grown dragon then so be it."
He chuckles "I feel sorry for the dragon." I laugh "Well thank you for you belief in me." he nods and we start following the dwarves. "Ely what's that?" I follow the hobbits eyes and smile sadly "That is the remains of Dale. It was once a great city but Smaug destroyed it." he nods slightly and I sigh "Last time I saw it everything was on fire."
His eyes widen obviously in shock "Fire?" I nod and he whistles slightly "Dragon fire can do that?" I nod and Thorin turns "Lets just hope the dragon stays asleep." I nod and we reach the city limit, the buildings have visible scorch marks and I sigh remembering the last time I was here. Thorin moves closer to my side "Are you alright?" I smile and nod looking over to where the portal should be. It looks like the ceiling has caved in as there is now only a pile of rocks.
"Just remembering the last time I was here. It was the first time I ever saw you." he chuckles "I thought I imagined you. You where just a shadow" I smile and take his hand in mine "Well I can assure you I am very real." he brushes his lips against the back of hand "And for that I am glad." I smile and Balin shouts over his shoulder "Come on love birds we have to reach the mountain before sun down." I blush slightly and walk a little faster to catch up with the others.
We continue walking leaving the ruins of Dale behind as the gates of Erabor come into view. The dwarves all stop for a moment and stare. "The gates of Erabor." Fili and Kili grin at each other and I place a hand on both there shoulders "Behave." Kili grins "Yes aunty." the two of them run of the others running after them. After a minute I scowl realizing what he said. Bilbo chuckles "You know they are only jesting." I nod and smile at him "Come on."
