Elysian p/o/v:
I watch from up in the tree as the dwarves fall asleep listing to the sounds of the forest and the crackling of the fire. I notice that Thorin is still awake but I decide not to comment on it and sweep my gaze back and forth over the surrounding area scanning for any signs of trouble. I look up and watch the stars tracing the different constellations with my finger. "What are you doing?" I look down and see Fili and Kili looking up at me curiously I jump down landing gracefully in front of them "Keeping watch and stargazing." Kili laughs "What's so interesting about the stars." I smile "The stars a natural beautiful thing. They can guide you anywhere you want to go. And they will always be there no matter where you are."
The two of them nod and Fili smiles "Do you know the constellation names?" I nod and smile slightly sitting cross legged in front of them "You'll see them better if you lay back." the two dwarves nod and lay back their heads next to my knees. I start pointing out the different constellations, naming them and drawing them out telling the stories behind some of the names.
Thorin P/O/V:
I listen to Elysian and my nephews staring up at the sky wondering which stars they are talking about. I debate weather to move closer but decide against it and stay where I am listing intently. After a while she falls silent and laughs quietly. I move slightly and turn to see that my nephews are both asleep. Elysian looks up and I catch her eyes, she smiles slightly and stands walking over "Trouble sleeping?" I sit up and scowl slightly "No I was just thinking."
She smiles and nods sitting opposite me "You may not trust me yet Master dwarf. But I promise you I mean you no harm." I watch her silently for a moment "I still do not understand why you would join this quest with no want of payment." she smiles "I told you my motives Master dwarf and I stand by them. You should get some sleep there is a long journey ahead." she bows her head slightly and stands climbing back up her tree.
I lay back pondering over what Elysian said. She seems to be trustworthy but she is definitely hiding something. Sighing to myself I close my eyes and fall asleep.
