I watch the sun rise through the small window and wash quickly in a basin of water before changing into a light blue tunic and dark trousers and boots. I leave my hair loose around my shoulders and tuck the room key and a bag of coins into my pocket. I decide against bringing my weapons and leave them in the room tying a small dagger around my waist just as a precaution.
Walking downstairs I find Mila and an elderly hobbit cleaning. Mila smiles warmly "Good morning, did you sleep well?" I decide not to tell her that I rarely need sleep and nod "Yes thank you." She smiles "Would you like some breakfast?" I shake my head slightly "No thank you I'm not hungry." She looks mortified "Not hungry? Are you feeling alright?" The elderly hobbit behind her chuckles "Mila she is not a hobbit."
Mila frowns "I know that but she has to eat something." I smile "I don't eat a lot generally just a little in the evening." She nods and I take out my money "I forgot to ask how much do I owe you for my staying here!" The elderly hobbit smiles "Two gold pieces." I nod and place four on the counter before walking outside letting the sun warm my face. I wander along the small roads watching the hobbits with interest.
They're all very friendly smiling, saving saying good morning. As I walk I notice that a small group of young hobbits have started to trail me. Pretending not to notice them I walk to a small stream and sit on its bank. "If you have questions I'd be happy to answer."
They whisper among them selves debating who should go first before walking in a small huddle and sitting in front of me. There are seven in total three boys and four girls. "Who are you?" I smile at the hobbit who spoke "I'm Elysian I'm a Majda." They continue questioning me about my home and my ears and teeth. They take it in turns to ask a question then wait patiently while I answer.
Around midday the three boys all run of chasing each other down the road but the girls remain. "Your very beautiful." I smile "Thank you, you are also." They all giggle and smile and the youngest Sasha stands "Can we put flowers in your hair?" I nod slightly and the four of them stand running around picking up daisys, buttercups and other little flowers as they go.
They run back and I hum softly to myself while they plaite my hair in a simple braid and poke flowers into it. "Finished." I turn my head side to side carefully so I can see the end of the braid "Its lovely thank you." They all smile and I stand walking back with them to the inn. "Thank you for your stories." I smile "Your very welcome." the four of them wave and run of back to their homes.
Smiling I walk into the tavern, Mila skips over and hands me a small piece of folded parchment "An odd looking elderly man dropped this of for you." I laugh "Thank you." I unfold it:
Bag end, (time)
Host Bilbo Baggins.
I slip the parchment into my pocket and sit by the fire watching the flames dance and resisting the urge to control them. Mila hands me a plate of food and I laugh "I couldn't eat all of that in a week." She pouts "You missed breakfast and lunch you have to make up for it." I chuckle "I already told you I don't tend to eat very much unless it's a big occasion." She sighs "Well it won't be wasted but you have to eat something."
I eat some bread and fish and a couple of tomatoes leaving the rest on a table. It is soon empty the surrounding hobbits eating the remaing food at a surprising speed. I walk up stairs and meditate for the rest of the night.
