Moon runes

Thorin P/O/V:

I watch Elysian drag her friend away and Kili grins "Elysian looked nice in that dress." I nod before noticing what they both said and scowling at them. They grin and Fili looks impressed "I didn't think he would fall for that well done." I scowl at them both "It was a flippant comment it meant nothing." they both don't look like they believe me so I stalk of grabbing my clothes changing as I walk to my room. Once there I grab my sword and walk to the training grounds finding a stuffed dummy to hack at. 

After several hours I walk back to my room tired and aching. I dunk my head in a tub of water and change into some clean clothes. I dump my sword on the floor and dry my hair as much as possible before walking to the dinning pavilion. I slump into a seat at the main table and pull some food towards me. "Thorin have you thought some more about sharing the map?" I nod slightly and glare at Gandalf "I will show him but I do not think it is wise." he smiles and I turn back to my food listening to the others talking.

Elysian and Saeya appear both in similar red dresses. Elysian does look nice I admit to myself before turning away knowing my nephews will tease me relentlessly if I stare at her too long. Gandalf gives me a pointed look "Thorin the map." I sigh and take it out my coat pocket handing it over. The elf takes it and opens it slowly analyzing it "Elysian have you seen this?" she shakes her head slightly and he smiles "I am surprised you did not show her master dwarf. You would have your answer a lot sooner. Moon runes." Elysian smiles slightly "The most awkward runes to write and read."

He nods slightly and stands "Come with me Master Dwarf luck may be on your side." I stand along with Gandalf and Elysian and follow the elf through Rivendell to a narrow outcrop that leads to a small table made of a strange rock that I do not recognize. "These runes were written on a midsummer's eve in a crescent moon." he lays the map on the table and smiles slightly saying "Luck is on your side Thorin Oakenshield, the same moon shines tonight." the cloud above moves and a beam of moonlight shines down onto the paper causing runes to glow bright "Stand by the grey stone when the thrush knocks and the setting with the last light of will shine upon the key-hole."

I smile slightly and nod slightly "Thank you." he nods and hands the map back "Of course." I turn and walk away Elysian following close behind "You plan on leaving soon?" I nod "We leave in two days." she nods and smiles bowing her head before turning to leave. I grab her hand without thinking and jump when a jolt goes through my skin like a bolt of heat that spreads through out my body. "I'm sorry." without saying anything else Elysian runs away leaving me confused and staring at my hand as if there should be a mark there or something to explain the jolt.
