No One's POV
It may be the holidays and school is on break, that doesn't mean that mere classmates can't meet on those days to celebrate together. Well, there's a proper term for that, friends. Being friends makes everything a pass and more fun to do everything together.
Happy Birthday, Hisame-chan!
A message for the brunette who was still lying on her bed. She just woke up and thought that it wouldn't hurt to get up a little later. It's the day of her birth, she gives herself some slack on some days. She takes her phone from her desk and smiles after seeing the message. It was accompanied with a photo of Nana and Junna giving their best wishes for the brunette. She replies a simple thanks a selfie along with it, Nana likes photos after all.
Thinking it's about time she gets up, Hisame pulls herself up and raised her hands up in the air in a stretch. She puts back her phone on the desk and jumps off of her bed. She continues to do her morning routine, cooking herself breakfast and the like.
As much as she wants to stay at home and do more training, Hisame ultimately decides to go out for fun. She was just simply taking a walk around campus and had already asked for permission to go out of school.
Unknown to her, her two friends who had roped their teacher into the surprise had taken the opportunity to prepare something for the uptight brunette. It was mainly Suzu who had somehow brought Yakumo-sensei with her, making Koharu press a hand to herself, in her mind at least. Koharu is still not used to Suzu's whims and energy, she can barely keep up. But with sensei, it might help Koharu to keep Suzu's energy to the minimum.
"Suzu-san, if you please." Koharu said with her normal tone, though the crease of her brows says otherwise. Suzu was blocking the door, thus the frown on Koharu's face.
Suzu tilts her head to the side, acting confused when she certainly have understood what Koharu had wanted from her. Tired of this back and forth and also noticing Koharu not wanting to take a step forward, Yakumo decides it's up to her to break this up or they will be making nothing at this rate. Yakumo pulls Suzu by her shoulders and keeps her hands on the energetic green haired.
"You can open the door, Yanagi."
"Thank you, sensei." Relieved, Koharu welcomes herself into Hisame's room. Taking in the familiar warmth and scent of the room, she relaxes. She already had a cake, courtesy of Nana, in hand and places it on top of the shorter girl's bed, for safety.
"Suzu-san, sensei, you can both come in now." Koharu assures the two.
As always, Suzu barges into the room, raising her hands with the materials they were going to need for the day. Yakumo smiles at Suzu's energy and cautiously closes the door behind her back.
Yakumo is still confused as to why she was needed for this event. As a teacher, it's her duty to look after her students, but this isn't exactly that. She feels that her students are acting like their friends, not that it's a bad thing. Anyways, she has to monitor these two.
"Is this right, Koharu?" Suzu asks, her hand keeping the decoration in place and is standing on top of a chair.
"That looks about right." Koharu gives Suzu her nod of approval.
Seeing how the two are working well together, Yakumo thinks she was never needed in the first place. Until she was pulled by the hand, which is unexpected is that it was Koharu who was bringing her in from her place in front of the door. Koharu was simply asking her for her opinion on how the decorations turned out, there was no need for Koharu to pull her in.
Later in the afternoon, a familiar banana hairstyle pokes into the door. Nana has arrived with her usual smile on and it makes the girls already in the room to open their mouths in surprise. Junna also enters, following right after Nana. Suzu, of course, welcomes the two in. They all exchange greetings and smiles.
Nana brings her arms together in satisfaction as to how the decorations came out. Junna offered an approving smile as well.
Now all they got to do is to wait for the birthday girl to come back home. They kept the atmosphere warm and welcoming as they all exchanged words and catching up from the last time they met, during that program right after the 100th Seisho festival. They never forgot to turn off the lights as well to keep the surprise at its best.
Humming to herself, Hisame was looking satisfied as she was walking back to her school dorms. She had a small paper bag with a small cupcake in it, planned to be consumed for dessert after dinner.
Oblivious to the people already in her room, she opens the door and reaches for the lights. What she saw then made tears start to come out but she blinked her eyes as to not let them fall. A simple 'happy birthday' in English letters were put up on the ceiling, they were hanging. There was also a line of art paper rings along each side of the words. But most of all, it was the people under it who gave her the best surprise. Koharu holding a cake with a worried look on her face, but nonetheless tried to at least make her lips curve upward was trying to make Hisame laugh.
"Happy Birthday, Hisame!"
Hisame brings her hands over to her mouth.
"Thank you very much." As polite as ever, she leans forward in a bow, more of an attempt to hide the warm expression that has taken its place on Hisame's face.
She realizes something then and returns back on her standing position. She throws a question that makes the people inside to laugh awkwardly, except for Koharu and Yakumo.
"Why did you come in without permission?"
"T-that's-"
"If we did, it wouldn't be a surprise anymore." Koharu calmly gives an answer. She already had an idea that Hisame would be asking a question along those lines. Unsurprisingly, Hisame agrees with the answer.
"A-anyways! Let's enjoy ourselves with the party!" Suzu enthusiastically announces which brings about the laughter that booms in the room.

That was Shun-chan!
It's late but I tried to make something for Hisame's birthday.
As always,
Thanks for dropping by!
