Misora's POV
I sighed, a heavy one.
"What's with that long sigh, Misora-chan?" Ichie-san patted my back. I looked up at her from my seat.
"It's just that Aruru seems to be distancing herself from me." I looked down on the floor and sighed again.
"Now that you mention it, I haven't seen you two together for the past few days. Did you do something?"
"NO!" I looked around at the other dogs who had their eyes on me. "I'm sorry."
Ichie-san only laughed and continued patting my shoulder.
"Let's take this somewhere else." Ichie-san picked me up by the arm and out of the dorm.
I awkwardly waved a hand and showed a smile to the other dogs in the dorm while I get visibly dragged out by Ichie-san. I could've transformed into my dog form if I got even more embarrassed that I would want to hide myself into a hole.
The only answer I want to know though is why Aruru is doing what she's doing to me.
"You really have no idea why Aruru-chan is kinda avoiding you, Misora-chan?" Ichie-san let go of her hold of me while I fixed my clothes. I look up at her and shrugged my shoulders. Then she smiled, my confusion only got deeper just like that. "Then there's no problem, Misora-chan. It's better if you just wait for her."
She tapped on my shoulder twice before leaving me alone with a broken train of thought, frozen in place.
"Wait! Ichie-san!!!" I turned around to find any trace of the pink dog, but she was already gone when I called out her name.
But with me alone only with my thoughts, it would only be going nowhere but fall deeper into the abyss.
"What am I supposed to do without Aruru?" I slouched down on the ground while holding my cheeks. "Whatever is going to happen, I should be finding her."
I stood up with regained confidence, determined to go and talk with Aruru. That much should be fine, right?
Walking back into the dorms and stood right in front of her door, she's supposed to be still in her room. I opened the door to check if she was still here, she wasn't. I turned on my heel and found her blonde tail on the corner of my eye. I switched into my animal form to be able to run after her faster. When I reached her, I jumped and made the both of us fall to the ground. The smile on my face then was so wide while I rubbed my face into her neck.
"Misora! Wait!" She rested her weight onto her arm as she slowly got her back off the ground. She put her hands around me and gently put me down on the ground, giving me the time to revert back into my human form.
"Aruru!" I wrapped my arms around her neck and embraced her with an expression of relief on my face.
"I have somewhere I need to be, Misora." Despite what she is saying, she reciprocated the hug and I melted. But...
"Can't I just go with you?"
"It won't be a surprise anymore if you did." She laughed. I separated myself from her and broke the hug.
"What?"
"Don't ask anymore questions. You're making me spoil the fun." I helped her back up onto her feet. "Just wait until it happens Misora."
She teasingly pressed on my nose as I let her leave my sights yet again.
Now, I sat myself in a table with my cheek resting on my hand.
She still hasn't told me anything yet and the last time we talked was three days ago already.
How could I not worry when I don't even know what she's doing...
"You're acting too gloomy on your birthday aren't you, Misora-chan?" It's Ichie-san who reached out to me again, but right now, everyone is here except for Aruru.
"You still have that frown on you even with everyone here, Misora-chan! That frown is a non non on a day like today!" Karen seemed proud to have said what she said. I only made a small smile out of courtesy.
Suddenly I found my feet not meeting the ground anymore. I turned my head to see the culprit and it was Suzu-san. She raised me up and down with a cheery smile on her face. I can't deny the fact that they are in fact trying to cheer me up, but I'm starting to feel a little sick.
"Suzu-chan put Misora-chan already. She looks like she's not feeling well." Good job, Nana-san. My feet is definitely glad to feel the ground again, I had to hold on a chair to refrain falling down. I held my head and shook my head to get my bearings straight.
"You guys haven't seen Aruru? Where is she?" Finally getting to see the surroundings clearly, I looked up and saw the faces of everyone but the very person I am looking for.
"She's right behind you." Mei Fan-san said with surprise in her tone.
I flicked my ears and quickly turned around to see that she was indeed behind me. She raised up quite a big present with a wide smile on her face.
She's definitely the only one for me.
I ran towards her and immediately wrapped my arms around her. Tears were welling up in my eyes.
"M-Misora!?" She was trying to get out of my hold, but she is not going anywhere until I calm down.
"She's being too dramatic, isn't she?"
"It's not an exaggeration, Suzu-chan. And you know exactly how it feels."
"W-we're not talking about us here!"
"Right."
I laughed hearing their conversation and eventually calmed down, letting Aruru free of my grasps.
"Happy birthday, Misora." Just when I finally calmed down and then she looks at me with those loving eyes. "It's a present that we can both use. Let's have fun with it together."
"Sure!"
I received the present wholeheartedly and happened to meet eyes with Ichie-san. I'm sure she mouthed the words, 'I told you so' and smirked.
Well, all's well that ends well. It's fine I guess.-----------------------------------------------------------
That was Shun-chan!
I finally got free of the midterm week, yes! I'm not sure if I did that well in all of the tests, but the important thing is that the exams is done!
I don't about what's going to happen next in the main story and I'm scared for Frontier. I'm not playing the JP server either. Plus, I don't want to know yet.
So, here I am with a scared and worried Misora for her birthday.
Happy birthday Misora-chan!
As always,
Thanks for dropping by!
