Suzu's POV
"Bananan what do I do?" I cried to the blonde, knowing that she knows just what to say.
She puts down that shake she ordered from the cafe she frequents. This time I tagged along since she wasn't going with Hoshimi.
"This is about Mahiru-chan right? If that's the case, she'll be happy with anything, Suzu-chan." There's just this aura about her that makes you feel at peace, at home, with Bananan.
"That's because I know that that I'm confused on what to get her for this event that'll happen in a few days. I don't even have that much time left to actually go and think it through!" I planted my face on the table, she laughs. I don't know why but she laughed! Should I be surprised or just think it was natural? Of course it was natural, I mean look at that toothy grin and the light flicker of her dog ears!
"You're overthinking, Suzu-chan. There's no absolute rush, you could always just be yourself and Mahiru-chan loves that. It's no problem." She assured, but her saying that Mahiru loves me still gets my whole being on top of the clouds.
"Right back at you, Bananan. I know you're already starting to plan an event for Hoshimi this year. You are preparing too early at that!"
"I can't help it. I just want the best for her." This time she fidgets with her fingers. This girl is too complex for me, only Hoshimi can handle all of her for the most part.
"That's also exactly what I'm saying. Ughhhh.... I should've at least asked Hisame. They're in the same class." I groaned, our next order finally arrived. The one that Bananan asked for, a banana muffin. I'm not surprised.
"Should I give her a call for you?" I shake my head and took out my phone, dialed the little mouse's number and pressed call.
"I already have her number." I look at the happy expression she makes as she takes a bite of the muffin while I put the phone to my ear. "Sorry to bother your time with Koharu, but I just had to ask..."
She squeaked. I had to take the phone away from my ear. After a bit of cooldown, I returned it by my ear.
"I-I-I'm not with Koharu-san right now." I can totally imagine her beet red face right now and the growing grin on my lips. She clears her throat and continues onto the topic, "What do you want?"
"What's the best present on a person's birthday?"
"That's the reason you're calling? I can't believe you. She'll definitely take whatever you give her Suzu-san." She sighs. I was taken aback at the sound.
"Why are you saying the exact same thing that Bananan is saying?" I complained as I take another look at the blonde who just finished her muffin.
"Nana-san is there?! Tell her I said hi." Her voice softens, my eyes widen at the sudden change. But I do the request nonetheless. I cover the phone with my other hand and calls the attention of the bigger dog. "Hisame said hi." I return to the call, "There I did it. So what do I do?"
"She likes Suzdal, so you should maybe prepare an event around that. That's enough of a help from me." She ends the call, abruptly albeit. I swear I heard Koharu purring in the background. I'll press her about it later.
At least I got a good suggestion now.
Standing up from my seat. I leave the cafe, Bananan follows right after. She walks my pace, I look at her and she raises a brow.
She stops and gestures her hands to the name of the shop. I look through the glass window and tilted my head to the side, confused at what the shop was supposed to be selling.
