Sudden (HiKaren)

No One's POV

"Say Karen... What would you like for tomorrow?" The raven haired girl strayed her eyes away from the book and wondered around, not lettiing them stop at the said girl.

"Hmmm..." The called girl pondered on her thoughts for awhile, wracking her brain for an answer, her wants. When she did find one, a big smile found it's way to her face.

"Anything is fine! Really! As long as I get to be with you Hikari-chan." The little brunette's hands were looking for her partner's hands and lifted it up, intertwining them.

"Guys, we should really go to sleep now. It's so late in the night already." The third resident of the room entered the room yawning. She didn't even have the energy to scold the two for still being up. Tiredness had seeped into her muscles and she just headed straight to her bed. Flopping down as soon as she arrived and fell asleep. "Good night, Karen-chan, Hikari-chan..."

The two stayed quiet as they silently let their eyes follow the sleepy girl onto her bed. Giggles left their mouth, then they smiled fondly at their friend.

"Good night, Mahiru-chan." Both Karen and Hikari replied back at the now sleeping blue haired. 

They then complied to Mahiru's request to go sleep. Hikari still needed to place her futon to its place. Karen helped her clean up a bit before placing the futon in between the beds. After that was done, they said their good night's and went to dreamland.

The night was short but sweet, and that made the girls sleep their deepest. But something strange happened during their slumber. None could have made an assumption as to why it happened. Nor the reason it happened. 

But it happened, now they have to deal with it.

"Hikari-chan!" Mahiru whisper shouted while she was shaking the raven haired awake. "You should wake up now!"

"...mmm..." Hikari only shifted on her futon and mumbled something that couldn't be understood.

"Hikari-chan!" Mahiru called once again. 'I don't want to do this but... I have no other choice.' Mahiru bit her lip and took a deep breath. She eyed to the brunette's direction taking not that she's still sound asleep. "Hikari-chan! It's an emergency! Karen is... Karen is..."

"What?!" Hikari jolted awake from her sleep and sat up, blinking the rest of the sleep from her eyes. She looked up to meet Mahiru's eyes, confusion in her eyes. "What happened to Karen?"

Hikari looked to her right, scanning the brunette head to toe for problems. But there was nothing of note except that she was sound asleep. So she looked back to Mahiru questioningly for an answer.

"You were not waking up so I needed to use a desperate method. And Nana-chan is already waiting for our help in the kitchen." Mahiru replied guiltily at the way she woke the raven haired. "She says to hurry up too."

"Roger." Without another second, Hikari stood up and let go of her blanket and Mr. White plushie on her futon. She went out of the room in a flash, leaving Mahiru dumbfounded but she followed right after, taking one last glance at the asleep brunette.

"Oh," Nana looked up from the batter she was beating. "Good morning Hikari-chan, Mahiru-chan."

"What do we need to do?" Hikari immediately asked as soon as she arrived.

Nana smiled and gave Hikari the batter. Opened some drawers and took out a cake pan. She placed it on top of a counter.

"You just need to pour that here and put it in the oven after. When you're done with that, I'll set a timer up for you to take out the cake just fine. Then I can go back to Junna-chan." Nana shortly explained after taking out the frog shaped timer she had near the counter. "You got all that, Mahiru-chan?"
