Accident (HiKaren)

Karen's POV

"Why are you following me!?" She shouted as she stopped running away.

"I..." I started but looked down as I forgot why I was running after her.

"You can't even give me at least one reason!" She continued, tears threatening to pour out and her voice cracking.

"W-wait!" I wanted to hug her but, instead I jumped on her, causing the both of us to fall to the ground. Me ending up on top of her, hands on the side of her head and the side of her chest. I gulped down and closed my eyes as I expected a slap or something.

I opened my eyes again and just saw her put her arm over her eyes to cover her tearing face.

"Hikari-chan?" I called out. I reached for her arm that was covering her face and took it away which made her to bite on her lips.

"What Bakaren?" She asked back as she twitched her eyes and tried to move her other arm which was being held by me.

"Why exactly are you crying?" I seriously asked, still trying to keep her in place.

"I don't know!" She shouted again and tried to move. I lost my grip for a moment and in that instant, she tried to get away again which made me slip my hands. "You are supposed- hm!?"

"......" Silence was kept in the air. We were frozen in place and were blinking our eyes. We were both shocked to how things became like this. But all I can tell you is that, what I felt on my lips were like a dream come true.

"I-I'm sorry!" I quickly got off her and kneeled on her side, both of my hands up rising for surrender. In response, she sat up and put a hand over her lips and spaced out for a moment.

She looked to my direction. Instinctively, I closed my eyes, put my hands to my knees and was shivering.

"Karen" She said with a calming voice. I felt her hand to my cheek as she said my name.

Is she fine now? What was bothering her in the first place? Why did she cry? Who made her cry? That would be me I guess. But I don't know the exact reason. All I know is that I caused her to cry.

I opened my eyes to my reflexes and found myself near to her face. Our noses almost touching. Her also putting her other hand to my cheek. She rested her forehead to mine. These actions shocked me as her mood quickly shifted to this one.

"H-Hikari-chan?" I made the words come out after giving it some thought. I blinked as she hovered to the side.

Is she sleeping? How weird... She quickly changes attitude by the time when I give her attention again.

She really fell asleep so I sat on the ground and left a space on my lap. I put her head gently on my lap and let her continue to sleep there. While I enjoyed watching her sleep, I brushed her hair with my hands and hummed her a tune she liked.

Did someone put something in her food earlier? Is it Mr. White? *gasps*

Mr. White!

Where is it? Is it not in our room? Did someone hide it?

I continued on making my restless questions and it seemed to have affected the person sleeping. It made her make grumbling noises and she curled herself into a ball, her head still on my lap.

"Sorry..." I mumbled to myself as I continued brushing her hair as gently as possible.

So, I just stayed there, staring at nothing in particular. I might have wasted time in doing nothing but the usual me doesn't think about wasting time. I was not exactly wasting time as there was a person sleeping on me and I couldn't possibly move for the possibility of waking that person.

What did she think about that accidental kiss? Even if it was an accident, I stole her first kiss? It was mine as well but, I'm really happy my first was her. It couldn't have been anyone else.

Anyways, what was that earlier? The way she looked at me when she put her face very near to mine... I don't know what to say....

I could say that I liked that feeling... The thumping in my chest... I was so nervous... I was scared my heart would jump out!

I was so out into space, I didn't know my hand was already ruffling her hair hard which made her wake up.

"K-Karen" I heard her say as she put both of her hands near her head, trembling. "H-hand" She pointed to her head.

I looked to where she was pointing which made me widen my eyes and quickly took my hand away from her hair. "So sorry..."

She sat up and put a bit of distance between ourselves which stung a bit. She looked at me for a moment then hastily looked away, hiding her face. I think she was blushing. I saw her blush reached up to her ears. She is embarrassed! That's a rare sight! Hikari-chan the always poker face is now blushing! It's quite a sight!

I'd like for this to be shared but I would rather want to keep this side of Hikari-chan to myself.

"Hikari-chan, what's wrong? You're blushing up to your ears? Do you a faver?" I asked as I put a palm over her forehead to feel her temperature and another hand at her nape. It was all a plan as I pulled her to me and caught her lips again but having much more feeling than the accidental one earlier.

She backed away, but didn't escape my embrace nor she had any plans to get out I think. She blushed madly and tried to cover her face again but I stopped her and gave her a smirk which made her to blush more.

"I've always loved you, Hikari-chan." I said with a smile as I intertwined our hands.

She buried her face to my chest and was playfully punching it.

"B-Bakaren..." She said with a little more volume. "Me too."
