Mr. White (HiKaren)

Hikari's POV

"Bakaren, how could you not understand such a smiple thing." I complained as shook my head side to side in disappointment.

"W-what about it, Hikari-chan?" She asked as she grew more confused.

"I told you it goes like this." I said as I started to write something on the notebook. It was simple english conversation and we had to complete the sentence.

"A-ah..." She expressed as if she understood but I know she doesn't.

"Teaching you this is so much of a pain but how come you managed to read the english version of Starlight?" I said in disbelief as I closed both the book and notebook.

"That was a different story, I love Starlight so I managed to get myself to do it." She explained as she took the book and notebook from my hands.

"If I give you a generous reward, can you do it?" I challenged her as I put a finger onto my lips.

"What reward?" She asked, excited, it was as if she was wagging a tail.

"I will let you borrow Mr. White for a day." I said as I looked kind of conflicted.

"No." She flatly said.

"W-what?" I asked in shock.

"I won't accept that reward." She explained calmly as if mad. This kind of Karen is unexpected.

"Wha- Why?" I tried to ask more.

"Because Mr. White is your favorite and you looked conflicted when you said that I can borrow him for a day." She explained much more clearly. How can she explain it like that? This is definitely not the usual Karen.

"Then what do you want?" I asked as I had no more ideas of what to do about that.

"I'll get to do whatever I want with you for a day then." She proudly said as she put both her hands on her waist and a big smile on her face.

"That's fine with me." I said as I made a small smile.

"Let's get started." I said as I relaxed on the chair in relief that it worked and started to get serious.

"Ughhh..." She complained as she lowered herself onto the table, but she still was determined to finish the work today.

"Let's get this done today and hang out tomorrow." She said as she perked herself up and slapped herself on both of her cheeks to help herself focus.

"Good luck to us then." I said as I picked up Mr. White on the floor and brought it back with me on the table.

It was already night and I dozed off on Mr. White. I woke up for a moment to see Karen still working on that english book.

I stood up and saw a blur of Mahiru sleeping on her bed. I found my futon was already laid down. Before I really went to sleep, I checked on Karen once more and she still had lights on.Then, I lied down and slept.

The next morning...

"Good morning, Hikari-chan! Mahiru-chan!" Karen greeted as she rose from her bed.

"Good morning, Karen-chan, Hikari-chan." Mahiru greeted as she started to fold her blanket.

"Good morning...." I tiredly said as I rubbed my eyes and stood up to keep my futon.

"I finished everything last night Hikari-chan! So we can hang out today outside of school! Isn't that exciting!?" She excitedly said as she jumped out of bed.
