Misora's POV

It just feels weird without Aruru here. She's currently still in Seisho with another student drummer to teach her to play drums for the play they were going to do.

If I think about it, drums are a pretty good fit for Aruru. It goes well with her randomness, one that I'm most accustomed to. I looked up at the ceiling, resting my head on the couch. Another sigh escaping my lips.

'What should I do now?' I ask myself as I heard a chatter back in the kitchen. With nothing else to do coming to mind, I walk to where the sound came from.

"Misora-chan..."

"What's the probl- what happened?!" I took a cautionary step back when I saw the pieces of broken glass on the floor. I looked up to meet the face of the reliable senpai of ours with a worried look on her face.

"I wanted to drink some herb tea, but my hand slipped..." Shizuha-san was looking apologetic with her brows crooked.

"It's fine Shizuha-san. Everyone makes this slip ups right. Maybe you're just tired?" I crouched down, letting my weight be held by my feet and knees to help he clean up the dangerous broken glass.

"I should add some more sleep into my schedule..." Shizuha-san mumbled to herself as a yawn left her mouth. "Ah, right. Misora-chan, any plans on going to check on her?"

"Nice idea! Why didn't I immediately think of that? Thanks Shizuha-san!" Like a light bulb was lit above my head, I wanted to stand up but I still needed to finish up with the shards.

"Glad I helped. Though I should be the one thanking you..."

"Nevermind that Shizuha-san. Instead, get some more rest and limit your games in the evening." She flinched at the mention of her games and her usual smile broke out onto her face.

"I'll keep that in mind. Good luck with Aruru-chan. I'll finish up here. You can go on ahead." She calmly waved her hand goodbye as she moved her other hand swiftly with the small broom.

I ran back into my room with an idea playing in my head. I got that this is going to be a surprise, she doesn't know that I'm going to check on her or rather that might just be at the back of her head. She's probably too caught up with the excitement that comes with acting with actresses from other school, so I'm confident she won't be sidetracked by thinking about other things. I just sincerely hope that she hasn't fed the other girls with her cooking...

'Should I make some sort of charm?' I thought as I saw a yarn when I opened my drawer but immediately shut down that idea. My mind's working other things while my hands are doing something else. I should focus. Focus! Speaking of getting focused, she is a challenge in getting her to focus.

Getting myself straight, I took a coat with me and put it over my shoulder, pulling the zipper up. I put my hands on my pockets to help myself shield from the cold when I get outside. When I got outside, I passed by a bakery and bought some bread to give out to the other girls when I arrive there.

It took some time for me to arrive but I safely got in the school grounds. All that's left for me is to thread carefully through the snow and find where the girls are practicing. Of course they're all in the rehearsal room. I should head over there too. When I got there, mysteriously there was no sound coming from the room. I peeked my head from the door frame to cautiously ascertain if there were people or not. There were no people in the rehearsal room, just the instruments that were left as they were.

A bit disappointed, I left the rehearsal room alone and let my ears and nose do the work. My ears picked up a strange worked up voice and followed it from there, slowly thinking that something is not right. I really hope it's not what I'm thinking. Now my nose is acting up. Sniffing up the air, the smell tickled my nose. I hurriedly put a hand over my mouth and noise to help minimize the sneezing noise.

And yes, it was what I feared. I see her bringing out something blue in a container and the girl behind her with something red. It looked strange and probably was another one of Aruru's cooking spree. I deadpanned when I saw the faces the other girls were making. Two of them made me squint my eyes and take a second look, they were happily eating that blue thing?

"Ah! It's Misora-chan!" I quickly raised my head up at the name calling. A wavering smile was on my face when I saw her eyes sparkle. The surprise failed. She called out to me first before I went to them. That was failure on my part.

"I came here Aruru." I replied with a bit of still shock on my voice.

"Would you like to try those too, Misora-chan?" She gestured to the food the other girls were holding. "Here you go!"

Miraculously, she handed me one of each, one blue and one red.

"What is this?"

"Bread! They said it was delicious!"

Holding the supposed bread before me, I took a whiff of it before actually taking a bite. Surprisingly, it smelled good like the previous ones. I just hope this is one of those times when she got it right. Gulping down my nervousness, I gallantly took a bite of the blue bread.

"This is really good!" My eyes sparkled at the yummy bread and looked up at the blonde girl.

"Saaya-chan helped in thinking about what shapes the bread would be taking. Saaya-chan is the drummer that is teaching me about drums. I'm learning a lot from her for the upcoming play." She thankfully explained who the girl she was talking about was. I concluded it was the girl behind her earlier from her description. "So what brings you here Misora-chan?"

"I just wanted to know how you were doing. It looks like you're doing great. Glad to see that your having fun as well." She had her hands behind her back and she's not looking at me, so I don't know what to make of that action. I raised the bag of bread I was holding in front of her. "I thought you were going to be hungry so I brought bread, but it seems like you're all full now. I can just take these back with me."

"I'll take them! Since Misora already brought them, I should take them right. In exchange, bring back some of the ones I made. I look forward to the feedbacks from the others." I got surprised when she took my hand and got the bag away from my hold, but that's just how Aruru is.

"I'll tell you on that when you successfully finish the play. Now that I've done what I was here for, I'll go back home." I put a hand over her head, my way of cheering for her. "I'll look forward to listening to you play the drums, Aruru."

"Sure!"

I failed to compensate the other girls for letting them eat what Aruru made, but they had satisfied looks on their faces so there was no need for that. Slowly but surely, she is truly making progress in cooking. I look forward to the day she's not going to make any failed dishes. That is when I'll still be by her side then.

Back home, I relaxed myself outside on the grass. Looking up the night sky filled with stars. Seeing a falling star, I closed my eyes and said my wish.

'I wish I'll still be by her side even far off into the future.'
