I'll Take My Chances (SuzuMahi)

No One's POV

It's been apparent that she keeps on coming all the way here. Is there a reason for that? Or does she only want to have fun? Does she even feel the same way?

"I came all the way here since it's not that far anyways. Have you been waiting long?"

"No, I just came here."

"Great! Let's go! I have a whole list for us to complete today."

"You're really excited for this. Did you not get enough sleep with all this excitement?"

"Of course! I've been waiting for this day to come. Now, hurry up!" The short haired said with a big smile and the other couldn't help it and smiled back. "Come on, Mahiru!" Taking the others' hand on her own, moving so that their hands are now entwined together.

Seeing this unfold, Mahiru couldn't stop from being happy. "So, where are we going first, Suzu-chan?"

"The baseball stadium. You love baseball right?" She took a moment to think and looked like she was running through her list in her mind. She replied looking straight to the girl on her side.

"Yes. Are we watching a game perhaps?"

"Hmm, nope." She replied smiling widely, which made the other confised. "But something like that."

"Just what are you trying to say? ....Oh." They stopped at a familiar looking place.

"Looks like you've got it. You're gonna watch me go at the baseball machine here." Suzu let go of her hand and put her hand on the other's head to pat her a good job. She put on her game face as she put on the head gear and took a baseball bat. "Now, watch me."

They are not exactly at the stadium, but it was near there. The place where baseball enthusiast and aspiring players practice baseball.

The balls going at Suzu were all very fast but she managed to hit all of those and all a home run. This made Mahiru go agape at the display of strength Suzu was showing her.

"Just how good are you? I think you are good enough to join the league! That was amazing!" Mahiru took a towel and a bottle of water from her bag.

"Thanks. I don't know. I guess I need to admit that I come here almost everyday." Taking the towel and bottle of water, she wiped off the sweat she produced and drank the water handed to her.

"Still, it was so good. I think I could just watch you go at it the whole day! Ah, but your shoulder would hurt from all the force you'll be expending." Mahiru carefully thought, hand on her chin.

"Thanks for the graceful amount of compliments Mahiru. That makes me glad that all that practice was worth it." She put a hand on Mahiru's head again and gave her a smile. "Should we go to the next one now?" After gulping down the remaining water, she asked.

"Uh... It's almost lunch now. So how about we go eat for now?"

"Sure. I guess I am already hungry. So where do you want to eat?"

"I... uh, actually brought lunch so a park would be fine and I have a blanket with me."

"So, that was that bag for. I've been curious about that for a while now. I'd love to eat your cooking, Mahiru!" Suzu enthusiastically declared.

'How is she so forward about that. I'm embarrassed but I'm also happy that she wanted to taste my cooking. I'm not bad at it if I do say so myself.' Mahiru thought to herself.

Suzu had her hand out, asking for something. Mahiru misinterpreting this put her hand on Suzu's hand. Suzu putting her other hand over her face to hide her blush and Mahiru tilting her head in confusion.
