No One's POV

"Tamao-chan, someone came here to see you." Shizuha looked from the door to the called girl with her flicking ears. She's definitely interested as to what it could be.

"Ah, Rui-chan." Tamao jumped out from her seat and only smiled at Shizuha before going toward the door.

"I hope I was not disturbing something important, Tamao-san." Rui sheepishly waved her hand and couldn't make eye contact with the fox.

"No, it's nothing like that." Tamao smiled her usual and walked out of the room to comfortably make conversation with the mouse. "Yuyuko-chan is also here."

On cue, Yuyuko gets out of hiding from Rui's back and pouted, not facing Tamao. Tamao only looked at Rui as if to ask what is with the cat at the moment. Rui also looked behind her to see what Yuyuko was up to but she only shrugged her shoulders to Tamao.

"Here, Rui-chan. Happy birthday. I'm sorry I can't go with you today." Tamao handed the called girl a small box and apologetically smiled.

"I-it's fine! It's really fine. I know you've got some work for the school. I've got Yukko with me, so it's all fine." Rui reluctantly accepted the gift and pulled the cat close to her side, which startled the cat. Yuyuko only shyly hid her face with her red hood.

"I see. Have fun you two." The fox was thankful for the mouse's consideration. But it also crossed her mind that why Rui wasn't acting more selfishly, even more so since it is her birthday. Still, she waved her hand goodbye to the two as she went back inside the room.

"What was that about, Tamao-chan?" Shizuha politely asked, sliding a few pieces of paper towards the called fox.

"It was just my adorable friends from the other classes." Tamao smiled. Shizuha lightly retracted herself at the smile Tamao had just shown.

"A~ah, it really was no good huh..." Rui raised the present she got above her head. Yuyuko took this time to find a seat and sit on it.

"As I thought, you are not satisfied spending today with me, huh..." Yuyuko said while both her ears and tail slowly went down.

Rui immediately turned her attention from the passing crowd to the cat beside her. She was slowly getting all flustered at what has just left from her friends' mouth.

"It's not like that at all Yukko." Rui positioned herself that she would be looking up at the called girl. She was kneeling on the ground and her elbows at each of the sides of Yuyuko's thighs. She had determined eyes looking straight into the wavering eyes of the cat.

Yuyuko only responded with a hum and looked away from the mouse's eyes. She was sure she would drown in the passion that was emanating from Rui's eyes.

"You would have enjoyed this 'date' more if it was with Tamao-san." Yuyuko gripped on her sleeves and pursed her lips.

"Tamao-san already had plans so we can't work with that. I'm already plenty happy that I get to spend my brithday with a special person." Rui reached for the shorter girls' cheek and smiled sweetly at her when they lock eyes.

"That still means you were looking forward to spending today with her. You sound so disappointed when you said that." Yuyuko tried not to lean into the touch but her body betrays her. The words that came out was in no way planned to make the mouse girl distressed. But what happened next surprised the cat so much.

"You know Yukko, we were supposed to be smiling all the while today. Since it is my birthday. I still don't know why you're upset like this." Rui has had enough of the ramblings of the cat and it looked like the cat had no plans in getting away from the seat. She had no choice but to carry the girl herself.

"...What are you doing, Rui?" She choked on the words as she feels the warmth of the taller girl washing over her body. Yuyuko has her hands on both of Rui's shoulders for support.

"We're going somewhere else. Stay still." Rui's voice was so near to the cat's ears that the cat felt shivers every time she takes a breath. Yuyuko had nothing to do but just bury her face into her chest from embarrassment. "I promise it's just us two."

That additional statement felt like sweet honey to Yuyuko, or a more relevant one, catnip for her case. Her heart clenched at that. Even more so as to how Rui was cradling her in her arms. It looked like she was hanging on Rui like a monkey.
