Claudine's POV

'I have a bad feeling about tomorrow...' I gulped when I feel her rub herself against my back.

"Is something wrong, Claudine?" She asked with that satisfied smile on her face. Is she really worried? I'll take that smile anyway.

"I'll be fine." I put my hand on top of her head. She readily accepted it and parted her ears and even her tail is swaying so much. Should I go at it more? That face she's making is dangerous, like she's saying she wants more.

After much deliberation in my head, my hand kept on petting her and when I came to, it already had made its damage. She caressed my hand with both of hers and the deep blush on her cheeks is telling me that she's received more than spoiling for the day.

"M-Maya?" I managed to say, but my trembling hand in hers is telling that I also am not quite managing myself well in this situation. I unconsciously back away and quickly noticed the way her ears started slowly going down.

Not wanting to get her in a sad mood, I pulled her with our already entwined hands and put both of my hands on her cheek. I smirked, that was a small taste of victory. Her eyes were looking straight into mine full of wants. I can't just go along with her on this, even if this was caused by me. We're still in school after all.

'We really should've went ahead and go home earlier.'

But class had already finished a long time ago and there shouldn't be any students left in school....

I guess it's fine.

"What do I do with you, Tendou Maya?" With those words, I went ahead and pulled her face closer for a kiss. That's sure to keep her quiet for awhile.

When I opened my eyes for a moment, I was sure I saw a blonde pass by. Must be just Nana. She's fine.

"Thank you, Claudine."

"W-what's that for?" Her words of gratitude caught me off-guard. I never thought she would thank me for kissing her.

"For everything." Her whole face smiled and my heart clenched at the sight.

"Let's just go home." I shake my head from side to side, feeling that something about myself have betrayed me. When I looked back, that only made the assumption true. My tail...

"Yes." She took hold of my hand and went home with not much of a development.

'I really am glad though that Nana didn't pry. I guess her attention is pretty much on Junna after all. She's hopeless in that regard.'

The next day came and I did my morning routine. I looked at the mirror a second longer than usual due to the rogue bangs that hindered my sight. When that was finished, I flicked my ears in satisfaction along with a wide grin.

"Happy birthday, Kuro-chan!" This cheery voice...

"Nana! Thank you." I gratefully accepted the small treat she gave me, it was macarons. It's sure to be delicious so I have nothing to worry about. "Hm? Where's Junna?"

"She already went ahead. Why?" She leaned her head to the side in confusion.

"Nothing. Just curious." I waved my hand in front of me. "I'll eat this later."

"Sure!"

I couldn't exactly focus on my class today like usual. I wonder why?

Is it because I haven't seen that woman yet? I shook my head in frustration. Junna is sure to give me either a surprised glance or a worried.

"Claudine-san!" Fumi dropped a heavy hand onto my head and petted me, though it was not exactly that soothing with how hard she is going at it. Having enough of it, I took hold of her wrist and hissed at her for messing with my well-done hair. "Sorry, sorry." She really doesn't mean that.

"Shiori, do something about this sister of yours. I'll take that as a present already so please." I said to the called girl and she happily obliged and pulled her sister away from her. "I can't believe her."

"Saijou-san, I think I saw Tendou-san wandering in circles outside." Hearing that from Junna, I perked up and immediately looked to the direction of the door. "Saijou-san!?"

"Don't worry about it, Junna." I waved a hand at her before dashing out of the door.

'I want to hear it from you the most.' are the words that keep on coming to my mind as I was looking for you.

And true to Junna's words, she really was there. Like she was lost. This Tendou Maya is really rare. How does she even remotely keep herself together at the thought of me? Realizing what I was just thinking, a color of pink blooms into my cheeks and I stopped in my tracks.

"...Claudine, ma Claudine..." She stepped closer to me as if she has regained her cool and took hold of both of my hands.

"What?" I still haven't cooled off and was avoiding meeting with her full of love eyes.

"If you won't look at me, I can't say the words I have to say today." There was definitely a hint of a pout from that tone. I looked down and saw the stop at the sway of her fluffy-looking tail.

I swallowed my embarrassment and looked at her and saw her overjoyed face that she quickly brought me into a hug.

"I thought you wanted to look at my face?" Realizing what she just did, she froze for a moment and cleared her throat before letting me go. That moment of lag, helped me forget the reason of my embarrassment.

"Right." I giggled inside when I saw the subtle blush on her cheeks. "Happy birthday, Saijou Claudine." She showed me tickets to a play I was looking forward to seeing but failed to get a hold of a ticket. So seeing that brought a big smile to my lips.

"That's-!"

"Yes. It's a ticket to 'Puss in Boots'. You said you were looking forward to how the lead would portray Puss in Boots." She went on for awhile, on the other hand I looked closely at the ticket and saw that there were two of them. Then I made a teasing grin at her and brought her out of her own world.

"So you were thinking we should go watch it together?"

"Yes." She answered that one pretty quickly and honestly too. I'm surprised.

"Sure, let's go see it together."

"You don't have any problems with this arrangement?"

"No, you think I would? Why would I? I'd be more than glad to accompany my girlfriend anywhere." I declared and it resulted in a dazed fox.

"That's true." She giggled to herself. "Let's go then, Claudine."

I took hold of the outstretched hand and gripped it, looking forward to the sights I'll see with her by my side.
