Finding You (YuyuRui)

No One's POV

In her cat form, Yuyuko is comfortably asleep on the bench in the warm green grass in between the school. It was an open space with a few trees and benches where students can come and go have a break. Yuyuko's red hood lightly falls to her back from the breeze of the wind.

On the other side of building, the representative of the cats is panicking about the missing student of their class. Despite not really needing a representative, the rest of the cats just let her do what she wanted. It was for the best interest of the class after all.

"Junna, calm down. She's probably sleeping somewhere." Claudine tries her best to veer the representative off of her imagination.

"Sleeping somewhere and we have a class in the next ten minutes!" Junna bursts, much to Claudine's effort for that not to happen.

"Fumi do you know where she is?" Claudine whispers to the called girl who makes her ears stand up while the rest of the cat class tries to calm Junna down.

"I have no idea, honestly." Fumi scratches the back of her ear, still surprised that their rep would get so fuming like that.

The tallest of the mice passes by the commotion of the cats and unintentionally listens to what they were talking about.

"Yukko?" She asks herself and thinks about all the possible places she might be sleeping in. Then she let her feet take her to the nearest one, that choice was the most plausible one.

She arrives to the place and the girl she was looking for was definitely there, explained by the red hood on her back. She picks her up easily since Yuyuko was in her cat form.

She gently carries her close and lets her sleep while she can. She jogs lightly to where the cat students were and comes face to face with Junna finally starting to calm down.

"I found her Hoshimi-san." She hands Junna the cat and Junna wasn't too sure on how to receive her.

"Thank you very much for finding her." Junna receives Yuyuko and crouches down on the floor to put down Yuyuko for her to transform. Junna lightly slaps Yuyuko for her to wake up and it worked.

Yuyuko transforms into her humanoid form with her ears sticking out and her tail flowing down onto the floor.

"How did I get here? Did I sleepwalk?" Yuyuko asks as she yawns.

Junna was about to point towards the person responsible but she had already left. She takes a second before proceeding to answer. "It was Akikaze-san."

"Rui?"

"I don't know how she found you, but we need to hurry to the next class." Junna signals Claudine to go ahead with the other cats to the next room while she follows right behind Yuyuko.

Yuyuko in the end had to listen to her thoughts and not the lesson in class. It only passed right through her ear. As to why Rui went to the trouble of finding her and then give her to Junna. And then leaving without so much as a word. Yuyuko had to entertain her train of thoughts to at least give herself answers to those questions.

Well she did receive a few warning signs from Junna to pay attention when she accidentally looks at the purple haired while she was distracted with herself. She payed it no mind.

Besides, she already knew the lesson. The same as Junna, probably.

That's besides the point.

"Rui!" It's not the usual but, Yuyuko has to sometimes let out her voice like this.

As soon as class ended, Yuyuko went to find the tall mouse. It wasn't that hard to find a tall dark haired girl with round ears sticking out.

"Yukko?" She was startled at the volume of Yuyuko's voice.

"How did you find me?" Yuyuko slowly closes in on Rui with her head down looking at the shine of the floor.

"You mean this lunch? Ah, that. It was easy, given how you usually are. All I just needed to do was make assumptions." Rui looks up as if she is wondering if what she did was wrong. She quickly retracted it. As much as she wants to let Yuyuko sleep her fill, school is just as important.

"Easy!?" Yuyuko had to jerk her head up at the remark.

"Yes."

"How do you always find me anyways? It's not like I'm Tamao-san or anything that gets you all alert or something..." Yuyuko looks at Rui with sad eyes and droopy ears.

"W-why is Tamao-san coming into this conversation?" Rui squeaks at the poke of Yuyuko's finger into her cheek.

"Because that thought always goes into your head. Whether you have the same class or not. It's Tamao-san day and night." Yuyuko sighs and takes a peek at the shade of red on Rui's face. Yes, she enjoys this. Teasing Rui to the breaking point.

"Yukko is different." The cat is surprised at how quickly Rui catches herself from the initial embarrasment. "Yukko is also important. You're my precious friend."

The smile that Rui makes at that moment makes a catch in Yuyuko's breath. Still she smiles to herself at what Rui just said.

"You're also really important to me Rui." With a sad feeling weighing over her heart behind that bright smile she's showing to the mouse, Yuyuko reaches to stroke the head of Rui. "That means I'm still in your care then."

"I'm the one under your care Yukko!" Rui retorts and Yuyuko has already made her way ahead of the mouse with a wave.

"Hey! Wait! Yukko!"

"That depends on whether I'm up for it or not, Rui!" Yukko replies back, keeping up her pace so that the mouse won't be catching up anytime soon.

"Though I'll be rooting for you, always." Yuyuko mumbles to herself.

She still has to slow down sooner or later, but right now, she wants to keep this atmosphere a little longer.

As much as I want to support Yuyuko to be with Rui, I want the both of them to be happy.

I'm still undecided whether or not I should pull for Yuyuko as I want to save as much gems for the next collab Junna and Nana.
