"Am I supposed to meet him here..?"
You were by a certain park which was rather quite far by your home. This park was quite famous for their eateries, coffee shops and things to do for leisure.
It was currently 3pm, families would go here for their children to ride their bikes around the park or maybe just admire the surroundings. Couples are also scattered in the area though somehow, you could've wished that they would leave.
You sat down on one of the empty benches under the shade of a tree. Grabbing your phone from your bag, you started texting your bestfriend, Amber who set you and the mysterious man out for a date.
She too was excited that you get to go on a date. This man was a friend of hers so she fully trust this guy to go on a date with you.
Your eyes wander through the park, eyeing every people here. Some were playing some ball games, some were playing with their pets and some were in groups, jamming some songs.
A yawn surpassed your lips as you stretch your arms out. 3:30pm.The man was late and that's not a great impression. A sigh escaped your lips as you grab your bag and started walking around the park.
Walking around was a great way to pass the time. You passed by a coffee shop and decided to buy a cup of joe. Their coffees were rather cheap so you bought the largest one.
After buying the caffeine, you went back to your bench and sat down while sipping on your coffee. You grabbed your phone and started scrolling on your social media, liking posts from your friends.
The sun was setting and it's getting cold. You were quite regretting that you ordered an iced coffee too.
"Ugh, so I guess he's not coming" you mumbled and shook the cup of the coffee, realizing that it was already empty. "I was rather looking forward to it as well"
As you dropped the cup on the garbage cans, you started to walk towards the exit of the park. Along the way, you saw a familiar red head. Your face lit up and called out his name while running towards his direction.
"Diluc!!"
He still had his hair tied up high and he was still wearing his uniform. His coat was hanging on his shoulder and his sling bag was hanging on his other shoulder. ( like this :>

Diluc seems to be walking home since his apartment is near here and he has to pass by the park to go there.
"(Y/n)?" He was quite shocked at why you're here. "What brings you here?"
A somewhat forced laugh came out of your throat upon hearing his question making him curiously look at you.
"Eh I was waiting for my date but he just bailed out on me so I'm going home now" you grinned, "Are you going home as well?"
Diluc crossed his arms and came to a thought. He hummed in response and gently took your hands, leading you towards the park once more. You were quite shocked about this but nevertheless followed him.
"Its a great night. It's a waste that your date stood up on you. So come, I'll be his replacement for the rest of the night" Diluc mumbled but still quite audible for you to hear. "I heard that there's a great restuarant here."
Your face was flushed red but still a goofy smile suddenly plastered on your face.
Well maybe getting stood up by your date is probably a good thing after all. You silently thought to yourself while being pulled by Diluc. He abruptly stopped in his tracks, turning his attention towards you.
"Here wear this" Diluc handed you his coat that was hanging on his shoulder. "Your hands are cold"
You grabbed the coat and wore it, the coat emitted Diluc's smell which made you feel warm and fuzzy inside. He nodded at your direction and gave you a small smile before pulling you towards the place where the restaurant is located.
Diluc insisted that he pay for the dinner but you couldn't let him do that. When he got up to pay for the food, you sneakily dropped your money in his sling bag in which he left on his chair. Luckily, he didn't noticed anything too.
After eating, you both walked around the park for a bit before going home. He opted that he walk you home since your house is not that far from here as well. But you refused, he was probably too tired right now.
"I had fun today, thanks to you" a warm smile appeared on your face while waving your hand. "So I guess this is a goodbye?"
Diluc nodded and pat your head, "Stay safe okay? If your date stood up on you once more, give me a call and I'll be the replacement" he grinned and turned his back, walking away.
You waved as he was walking away and you too started walking on the opposite direction of him. Not gonna lie, the date with Diluc was probably a lot better than what you expected from the mysterious man.
