Here you are, wrapped around your blankets while eating tubs of ice cream and a movie playing on the television. A sob escaped your lips as you scoop a spoonful of the melting cream dessert.
A choked sob was heard when as you swallow the ice cream. The movie is almost in it's end, the protagonist founds out that her loved once cheated on her and left her all alone with a deeo void in her heart.
Why are you watching such a depressing yet beautiful movie you may ask?
Usually, after a breakup people mostly watch comedy videos and cartoons. But to your case, movies with sad endings are much better after breakups.
"Why do people toy with each other's feelings? I.. loved him wholeheartedly and he just toyed with my feelings and broke my heart into pieces" you cried to yourself while throwing the tub of half eaten ice cream on the ground making the contents spill. "Ugh, love really likes messing with us"
On cue, your phone rang which made you sniffle. Your fingers are quite sticky so it's a struggle to answer the call, but nevertheless you did it.
"H-Hello?"
You asked while stuttering. It was just your close friend, Lisa who was calling you. Probably she heard about your breakup earlier and decided to comfort you and maybe ask some questions. After all, she's taking a trip to France for a couple of weeks making her miss a few weeks of school.
Something about Lisa's surrounding makes you think she's inside a fun area. She's probably in a party or a private get together with her friends since the background is too noisy.
But you couldn't help but smile at her effortness by excusing herself in the party just to call you.
You couldn't ask for a replacement of her in your life. She's just too irreplaceable.
"(Y/n), I heard what happened between you and your boyfriend. W-Well technically ex since the two of you just broke up but.. you get the point!" Lisa exclaimed as the music in the background gets louder and louder. "And I found a person who could help you forget about what your ex boyfriend did to you!"
She said in a happy tone, this made your curiousity piqued and at the same time you feel fear. Sometimes when Lisa is happy with a plan of hers, it may go wrong but it also may go right.
But since you're so broken and quite desperate to forget all about him, you nodded profusely as you read the end credits of the movie on your television.
"Give me the person please."
Lisa laughed at the end of the line which made you raise your eyebrows thinking if she drank too much alcohol or is she just plain crazy.
"(Y/n), I'll text you the phone number okay? I just heard that he's the one to call if you're heartbroken." She chuckled and you could hear she ordered a shot of drink and chugged it down completely. "He goes by the name of T. Don't wear it out~"
You pursed your lips together and frowned, "Just give me the number already, and what does he do? Comfort the broken ones and tell them to move on because their exes are not worth it? It's the same shit I hear from people everytime they see me cry. So what does this makes him so special?"
Lisa hummed in response and shrugged, "Who knows, I haven't tried it before. Yet some of my heartbroken friends come to him for some advice and shit and says he's good. It must be called 'Heartbreak Hotline' for a good reason huh?"
If only Lisa could see your eyes rolling, she should've whined at you and complain about her efforts wasted on finding you this so called 'heartbreak hotline'. Nevertheless, you're up for this adventure.
"Fine, text me the number okay? This better be worth it"
Lisa squealed in excitement and laughed, "This'll be worth the million shattered pieces of your heart, (Y/n)~"
