In a parallel reality there awakes Diluc, not knowing what to do. He was surrounded with nothing but the darkness of the place. A lone circular portal-like object appeared in front of him and there he found the person he protected right before he lost consciousness.
His eyes widened as he reached out to grab through the portal but a some sort of barrier sent an electrifying shock on his hand making the male hiss upon the contact.
(Y/n).. (Y/N)!!
Diluc wanted to yell but no voice came out from his throat. He was unable to speak, it was like something within the suroundings prevented him to speak.
As he watch through the mirror, it suddenly disappeared leaving behind streaks of light that wrapped around his body. Those streaks of light brought a warm feeling inside of him as he feels he was getting lifted off from the ground.
His life then flashes right through his eyes as he gets carried away by the streaks of light. From the day he was born, meeting (Y/n), losing his father, protecting the one he loved the most and his final hours.
After the replay of his passing on, everything turned bright which made the male cover his eyes with his hands.
THE PROCESS OF REINCARNATION REQUIRES ONE TO ACT WITH SUCH NOBILITY, PURITY IN ORDER TO BE REBORN AS SUCH .
As his field of vision cleared out, there he saw his father with a warm smile on his face. Diluc looked at the person in front with pure shock in his eyes that tears were slowly trickling down his cheeks.
"Diluc.." his father's voice echoed, "I'm proud of you.."
Crepus slowly walked towards where his son stood still, processing that he gets to see his dad once more. The man placed his warm hand on his shoulders and proudly smiled at his son for doing such noble acts.
He then stepped away from his field of vision where an image of (Y/n) crouching on the ground appeared in front of him.
Diluc let a relieved smile as he walk towards the image. He wrapped his arms around them and then muttered,
(Y/n). . . .
Let's go home . . .

Under the gleaming moonlight, there walks along the sandy shores a lone person while clutching a lone Cecilia flower and their hood, hoping that they wouldn't be seen by the people that is chasing after them.
They silently escape the headquarters where they were kept away from the Liyue Qixing. No one had known that they were escaping the headquarters under the night of a full moon. There's a good reason why they choose to sneak out under the night of a full moon..
It is said that those who passes on the next life, uses the moon as a mirror to watch their parallel world.
They always bring a Cecilia flower with them as it was a symbol of their vow together with Diluc. 'Til death do us part.
They crouched down and grabbed a twig before writing down words on the grainy sand, only to sigh after it was washed over by waves. They stood up and began walking along the shores again, the cold yet fragrant ocean breeze made them shiver as the ebb and flow of the waves hit their ankles.
Their gaze looked up towards the sky where the luminescent moon gaze on the lone person by the shore.
"Diluc" they mumble, "You should've let them take me.."
The crouched once more to place the Cecilia flower on top of the undulating waves. That flower then went with the flow of the sea, never to be seen once again. Just like their beloved who was gone within a fleeting moment of weakness.
The void you feel in your heart was regret. You always blame yourself for the loss of a valuable comrade and a companion. All you did was drag and made Diluc insure your safety when you can do it all by yourself.
A presence silently crept behind the weeping willow and before they could even turn to see who it was, everything went black as they felt warm arms wrap around their shivering body causing a wave of warmth rush over.
"(Y/n).. let's go home.."

"AH"
Under a pink colored flowering tree, you jolt awake from the dream you had earlier. You sense a heavy feeling wash over you upon recalling the contents of the dream, only to be cut off by the person sitting right next you.
"Hey are you okay..?" A familiar red head asks as he worriedly look in your direction. "I saw you fell asleep while reading a book under the tree. I didn't bothered waking you up since I knew you stayed up last night, not being able to sleep properly"
You felt something warm trickle down on the side of your cheeks. Upon touching, it was your tears.
Diluc's eyes widened upon seeing your tears that he stood up then crouched down in front of you. He cupped your cheeks and wiped the tears away with his thumbs.
"Did you had a nightmare?" he muttered as he genuinely looked worried. "Don't cry please..."
You abruptly wrapped your arms around his neck making the male freeze for a moment. You didn't know why you wanted to hug the male and won't let go.
Diluc didn't mind that you were currently staining his clothing with your tears. He was just glad that you're pouring all your pent up emotions on him.
"Don't leave.. don't leave.. don't leave.." you repeatedly mumbled while holding on Diluc's clothing as if your life is depends on it.
The male continuously stroked your back soothingly while whispering things to calm you down. He rested his cheeks on your head and gently closed his eyes.
