"Lookie here (Y/n)!"
Young Childe wobbled over to your direction while holding a pamphlet on his tiny little hands. He gave a childish grin and pointed at a column of letters on the piece of paper itself.
( yes, childe is literally a child- )
It had read about a play about a christmas fairytale that was going on in the town's square later at night. The reason why Childe is here it's because he's just your next door neighbor and his family is spending the festivities with your family as well.
Yes your families are super close.
Childe's mother is carrying his little brother in her so the boy was excited in getting his new brother. He would do the things that a mother usually does, in fact he loved spoiling everyone he loves.
And now you two are playing in front of the fireplace to warm up. A plate of cookies and milk are in front of you two in case you get hungry. You two were playing roleplay with some dolls and action figures, until you heard some bells and kids caroling outside your home.
You and him quickly went to the door and admired the children singing outside. A chuckle was heard from behind and when you two turn around it was your mother.
Her face apron was coated in patches of flour, a clear sign that she was baking some Christmas cookies. A warm smile appeared on her face as she handed you two some coins, "Give these to the children singing outside and if you two want to go watch the play in the square then go, you have our permission. Just be sure to be back before midnight"
It was also Christmas Eve today, hence all of the preparation going along. As you and Childe were handed the Mora, you both grabbed your scarves and wool gloves before rushing outside.
"Here you are! Your singing is good.." You smiled at the children as they gratefully accepted the mora that was given to them. "Are you guys gonna continue carolling?"
Childe held on your hand as he was not much of an extrovert. He hid behind you but still peeking over your shoulders to see the children. Holding your hands gives Childe a fuzzy feeling in him.
