AND, CUT ! GOOD JOB EVERYONE .
Xiao went back to his usual stance upon hearing the director's signal. He held on his character's weapon, a Primordial Spear that has intricate looking patterns that compliments the look of his portraying character. When he was walking over to the side of the set, the eerie looking mask hanging on his waist was shaking ever so slightly at every step he took, as well as the tinkling sound of little bells.
"Nice job, Xiao!" You slipped the dull blade back to your sheath and ran towards your co-actor. You were currently doing the role of the main character, an outlander who's on a quest to find their sibling. "I liked how you portrayed the last yaksha, keep up the good work!"
Then.. there they go. Xiao thinks to himself as he watches you from afar as you compliment each of your co-actors for their acting abilities.
Whenever Xiao faces the audience as his profession, an actor.. he would always wear an invisible mask that hides what he truly feels inside. The male takes the ominous mask from his waist and stares at the demon-esque decoration. He runs his hand through the mask, thinking that the current character he's portraying had a lot of things in common with him.
A painful past, a mask where he hides his every lie.
Being one of the most famous personalities in television gives him a hopeless feeling deep within the depths of his heart. Despite the deafening cheers and undying support from his die-hard fans, the sense of demotivation is still there and it's continuously pulling him towards a state of melancholy.
He reminisces the past days when he was still a rookie, yes he had to crawl his way up and make an effort to be known by his targeted audience but it gives him a sense of fulfillment and thrill upon achieving the goal. Unlike now where every company and director wants him to be starred in a movie or an advertisement.
Acting was an enjoyable hobby of his, however with the recent surge of his popularity in the entertainment industry.. acting seemed dull as he spends each mundane hour perfecting his emotions that's needed for the scenes. He has been doing this for as long as he can remember and has mastered a ton of portrayals that he eventually learned to fake his emotions.
