Xiao looks upon the illusion that Mahazael made as his last wish before the enslavery he would soon be subjected to. It was a vision of (Y/n), finally waking up from their deep slumber right after the demonic attack in Liyue. A look of pure relief was on the adeptus' face upon seeing their eyes flutter open and the life that was taken away from them has finally returned to its rightful owner.
The adeptus was concerned when he saw you staggering as you pushed yourself to stand up. He was about to jump over towards your direction but he soon realized that it's merely an illusion as well as he was bound against the cold, stone walls with a black wisp of demonic entity.
What happened to me? Your voice rings within the adeptus' ears. He figured that it was all worth the trouble he went through, just to hear you speak again. However, his happiness soon faltered upon hearing a question he never would've thought that would hurt, like knives piercing through his heart. Who's Xiao?

Xiao lets a pained groan escape his lips when he feels the restraints around him tighten. It burned just like the hellish flames devouring him whole. The past traumatic events that he thought he had buried years past, have resurfaced within his mind and it was driving him to the point of insanity. You and the qilin went ahead to the main city because Cloud Retainer said she has something important to do. It was a shame that she wasn't coming with you but you wouldn't dare question the adeptus of her personal business.
Upon the arrival in the city, everything seemed normal. It was as if the demons hadn't gone here in the first place and there was no attack that had happened. The Liyue Qixing has been working hard to restore the city as it seems, however, there were no signs of your friends anywhere.

The qilin is rather anxious to let everyone know that you forgot about Xiao. Seeing you two were rather close even before the demon attack incident, Ganyu knew that there is no way you'd forget about him all willy-nilly.
Upon informing Ningguang about your awakening, she immediately got the chamber ready for a huge feast. Everyone else involved in the incident were invited to the party, surprisingly, the geo archon himself also dropped by along with Hu Tao.
