Kaeya heaved out a huge yawn as he stretched his arms and legs out, sprawling on top of your couch. He placed his weapon down and grabbed the remote control for the television.
You looked at him weird and grabbed a book, "You look exhausted, scoot over I'm going to take a seat too" he groaned and rolled to the side making a space for you. Once you sat down, he immediately placed his legs on top of your lap. The perks of having Kaeya as a best friend. "Bro, what happened to you.."
"I'm getting too tired at work lately. The Knights are always patrolling the whole city and it's honestly so tiring that I legit want to resign" he mumbled and covered his face with one of your soft pillows. "...but of course, Jean wouldn't like it and so do the others. Especially since the creatures in the abyss will 'take over' the whole land, our patrols are getting more and more frequent!"
He continued ranting, you looked at him with an apologetic smile plastered on your face and interrupted him. "Would you like some coffee?"
Kaeya stopped and nodded, "Yes please. I'll be going out again at night to patrol again, I need as much as caffeine that I could get"
Your best friend placed his legs away and you placed the book that you were supposed to be reading down on the couch. "Iced or hot?"
"Iced," he simply replied.
Americano is Kaeya's favorite type of coffee. It's not that bitter compared to espresso because of the water, but that's how Kaeya likes it. You quickly brewed the coffee beans making an espresso then added them to the water with ice cubes in a cup.
You walked up to him and saw that he was reading the book you left on the couch. He noticed your presence and immediately smiled, "Are you planning on opening up a café?"
You handed him the cold beverage and grabbed the book away, "I was thinking about it since I thought it would be fun to do so, but of course, I needed cash to get things going"
Kaeya nodded and took a sip on his Americano. "I could lend you the money. In return, I get to try every food in your café for free" he smirked at his 'great idea', finally, a place to sneak out to whenever we're going on rounds. "I could even take the whole Favonius Knights with me."
You hesitated, sure handling a café is very hard but it would be a fun experience to do so. With a sigh, you nodded making Kaeya grin widely, "You better not skip out on work to come to the café Kae, you know how Jean could go berserk on you"
Damn it. Kaeya thought to himself while handing you a cheque. "No worries, I'll figure it out... someday"

Barbara hits the bell which makes you grab the ticket on the holder. She is one of the helpers in the church and works part-time in the café since the café is slowly growing. Even people from Liyue are coming to the café just to experience the calming ambience that it gives.
