"Scaramouche!"
"Ugh, you again.."
(Y/n) was one of the Fatui Harbingers, everyone has this some sort of respect towards him. He was always this 'happy - go - lucky' type but whenever someone would push his buttons, well it gets quite messy.
Scaramouche was one of the first Fatui Harbingers and who knows how long he has been one. Everyone dislikes him because he was quite a difficult man to be with.
But nevertheless, the two are quite close weirdly enough.
It all started one day when (Y/n) saw him at the main headquarters, seemingly walking towards La Signora's office with his usual emotionless face.
There's this aura that he shouldn't be messed with. But that will not stop (Y/n).
"Scaramouche!" (Y/n) cheerfully smiled and ran towards the direction where Scaramouche was, making the male flinch. "Willyou and La Signora do the fandango?"
The navy haired boy's eyes twitched upon hearing his question. Nevertheless, he sighed and shook his head.
Stay calm Scaramouche. Stay calm.
(Y/n) tilted his head curiously, "Then why are you going to her office?" He then gasped, placing his hand on his mouth. "Are you two dat-"
"Quiet (Y/n)" Scaramouche rubbed his temples to sooth his now hurting head. Just the thought of dating his somewhat 'boss' send shivers running down Scaramouche's back. "What even are you doing here? Go back to whatever it is that La Signora has ordered you to do!"
A grin appeared on (Y/n)'s face, "Well she ordered me to research on the next archon for the gnosis which is Baal, and I'm already done with it. So I'm just resting-"
"Don't you mean, Slacking off?" Scaramouche frowned and crossed his arms while tapping on the floor.
He wasn't quite aware that they are both in the middle of the hallway and some of the Fatui are looking at them with weirdness in their eyes. When Scaramouche had noticed, he suddenly flailed his hands and motioned (Y/n) to go away.
"Shoo! Don't bother me (Y/n)!" Scaramouche quickly turned and made a run towards La Signora's office.
La Signora's office was like a library. It was dim and the only light that was on was a chandelier, emitting a some sort of an orange-ish dim light. The female was sitting on the chair by the desk at the center, which seems to be drawing a plan of action.
"Ah, Scaramouche" La Signora smiled and looked up, meeting the male's emotionless eyes. "I assume you're here for the mission yes?"
The mission for Scaramouche is to secretly spy on a certain Traveler and know what's going on with the mysterious starfall and why the people are falling asleep mysteriously.
As Scaramouche was resting on a chair and intently listening to the mission, the door creeked open making both him and La Signora look at the newcomer.
"Wh- (Y/n)?!" Scaramouche stood up in disbelief. "Why are you here-"
"He's here to help you on your mission! Isn't it wonderful?" La Signora clasped her hands together and smiled, "You two can work together to stop the Traveler from jumping into conclusions about the mysterious thing. Though you two should be careful and not touch thay thing or you two may be cursed as well"
(Y/n) was rather happy that he gets to go to the mission but on the other hand, Scaramouche was quite poised. Don't get him wrong, (Y/n) was his first friend but he'd rather go alone in these types of missions.
As the two bid farewell, La Signora smirked when the two turned their backs towards her. It was as if, she purposely made (Y/n) and Scaramouche go on the mission together.
