⠀ His hands wrapped around your waist as he sways you from side to side. Cautiously, you tried to match his steps but it turned out quite messy. You kept on stepping on his foot, keep on muttering apologies and your eyes seems to be looking all around.
⠀⠀ "Look at me"
⠀⠀ Diluc mumbled as he slowed his pace down until you two completely stopped dancing. You looked down on both of your feet, completely out of breath. The male in front of you was just looking at you in silence, admiring how you looked tonight.
⠀⠀ A gentle smile appeared on his face as he started swaying you again but this time, slowly and carefully.
⠀⠀ "You look beautiful" he mumbled, but still audible for you to hear. "I can't believe that I had to dance with an angel today."
⠀⠀ There was a party hosted in the Dawn Winery, more like a ball. Everyone wore their best dresses and suits to the occasion. You and Diluc fled from the place since there was too much people, but you could hear that there was a slow dance happening in the scene.
⠀⠀ So there you two, slow dancing in the dark. ⠀⠀ Which wasn't really so bad since you're not alone anymore.
Though as they sway through the music, you could feel everything is turning darker and darker. It's as if everything was slowly falling apart. You were panicking, why is it turning like this?
Diluc in front of you was worried as well, a strange barrier separated you two from dancing. He was calling out your name but there was no sound coming from his throat.
"D-Diluc?!" You called but everything was swallowed in darkness.

The Red String of Fate
A magical cord tied to a finger, it's end is on another person's finger in which they're destined to be together. It may stretch and tangle into knots but it shall never break, that's how powerful the cord is.

You jolted up from your bed, breathing heavily about the dream you had. It was quite romantic too, though you couldn't remember who the guy was. A sigh escaped your lips as you look down on your pinky finger, a red string was tied aroung it.
Quickly, you got ready and went outside the small home you were in. Some couples have red strings leading to their partner beside them, but some of the couple's red string leads to a different person.
It was a complete wonder that you have this kind of ability.
"Good morning (Y/n)!" Paimon suddenly appeared and started floating all around. She had her usual smile and eyes that seek wonder and adventure. "Heeeyy! I heard there's a huge party in the Dawn Winery later!"
Paimon however doesn't have a red string tied to her. Maybe its because destiny haven't picked her partner yet. She looked around the town of Monstadt where a crowd of people is rushing towards the fountain.
"Come! Let's see what's all the fuss about?"
That's when the red cord started to glow immensely. It was as if it's telling you that your partner is just arount the corner.
"Is my soulmate near?" you asked yourself.
You followed the red string and eventually started running through the streets. The red string lead towards a certain red haired man, you looked at him and he was as he was looking at his hand also.
The man stopped and you did too, "Y..You can see the cord?"
A lump formed in your throat as the two of you slowly walked closer to each other. Our strings glowed brighter as if it's like a detector. Even though Diluc didn't have any emotion in his face, he too was quite shocked at this.
"D-Diluc" you breathlessly said.
He was about to say something when a crowd of people starting rushing through our direction. It was mostly of Diluc's so called fans that were admiring him. He was like a celebrity so it wasn't really a surprise.
The red string lost it's brightness. You were astonished that the other red strings you once saw quickly disappeared. It was as if, your gift faded into nonexistence.
Diluc was nowhere to be seen and your head started to hurt until it was unbearable anymore. The last thing you saw and heard was Paimon quickly rushing towards you as your body slowly crumbled on the ground.
