Venti strums his lyre as he rests at the foot of the massive statue in front of the church in Mondstadt. A crowd of people was in front of him, admiring the soothing music that comes from the said instrument; however, the song is not an ordinary one, but it is of a special ode to what once was his. A sorrowful smile rests on his lips when he catches a glimpse of the awe-full expression on your face as you listen to his music in the midst of the crowd.
Despite the contented smiles and the cheerful atmosphere around him, the bard seems to be battling against the hidden sadness behind the grin on his face. Remembering the reason why he made this song, he secretly let out a despairing sigh and looked upon your direction amidst the crowd.

Back when he's still a little wind spirit; when Mondstadt was not as free as it used to be, Barbatos was wandering the forests to seek shelter from the pelting rain. With his tiny body, he could easily get blown away by the raging winds even though he's a mere wind spirit himself. Nonetheless, the little spirit found a huge cave that may give him a temporary refuge.
As soon as the spirit flew inside the cave, it immediately found itself within the grasps of a shivering citizen. That citizen- is an innocent person who was exiled from the original place where Mondstadt is by the tyrant himself. You have been wandering the forest for days with an empty stomach, the only food that can suffice your hunger are the fruits that grow from the trees.
Though at some times, there are adventurers that are kind enough to aid you within your journey. This cave you're in is just a temporary refuge from the rain so you could continue searching for a place where you could finally call your home.
Meeting the wind spirit would turn your faltering life to the better.
When the spirit notices the state you are in, it immediately flies outside the cave and towards an apple tree where it struggled to pick the fruit from the branches due to the raging wind. However, he managed to make a couple ones drop on the ground. The spirit let out a cry of happiness when he saw the piece of apple fall on the ground. He struggled to pick up the apple from the ground because it's too heavy for him to carry but he successfully managed to give you a piece of the fruit after a couple of trial and errors.
