Jean was rather out of herself this day, she became tense and couldn't seem to think straight. Amber and Klee seems to think the same way since they were told to visit her in the office for an important assignment to do, but the grandmaster was even stuttering as she was telling the assignment to the both of them.
Klee was quite concerned, usually she would be scolded if she threw bombs on the lake again (which she did earlier). But today, Jean only nodded at her.
"Grandmaster Jean, you've been out of your mind lately. Do you want to talk about what's going in your mind?" Amber slowly walked towards Jean and placed a rest assuring hand on her shoulder. "Maybe you need a rest, a time off maybe?"
Jean wanted to, but she thinks of the well being of the people in Mondstadt. Even the littlest of problems is told to her which in return, just gives her more problems to face.
A sigh escaped the grandmaster's lips, "I'm doing fine.. it's just, (Y/n)" she pursed her lips and shook her head, no she shouldn't be feeling this way.
Ever since you first went to Mondstadt, she has always been admiring you from afar. Her heart flutters whenever you were near, he shouldn't be feeling this way because you were a traveler.
It sends a piercing pain whenever you leave Mondstadt. She is too worried that something bad will happen to you, but even so she couldn't stop you. Your brother is much more important than her and she will be much happy if you find your brother and reunite with him.
"Jean..? Grandmaster Jean!" Amber and Klee were both yelling her name while waving their hands in front of her face.
Jean was startled and jumped out of surprise, she rubbed her hands on her cheeks. "Get it together Jean, this will pass soon" she sighed and looked at both Amber and Klee with an apologetic look. "There seems to be a problem with hilichurls outside the city and the tavern is requesting to renew its business permit. Let me just sign it.."
Laughter was heard from outside of Jean's window, she turned her head to see you and Lisa laughing together. The librarian asked you to accompany her to get some new books and you were telling her of a funny story. Jean gripped on the quill pen too hard and did her signature too hard.
The ink smudged on the paper, when Jean realized she became frantic.
"Oh no" she muttered to herself as she grabbed a new copy of a business permit. She frantically scribbled her signature on the paper and gave it to Klee. "Take this to Charles, his business is now renewed. Also, if you two see Kaeya, can you tell him I needed the information of the abyssal mages he collected the other day"
Amber and Klee were worried of Jean, usually she was a calm and collected but today she's just off and over the place. But the two didn't pushed it further, it was probably because she's having a rather bad day.
An irritated sigh escaped of Jean's lips, the door of the office opened revealing you along with Lisa trailing behind your back. Paimon appeared out of nowhere, "We're here to get the book you borrowed from the library last week!"
Jean jumped from her seat and took out a book from one of the drawers of her desk and handed them to you. When your hands brushed hers, warmth was felt through her body. Her cheeks turned red, you three noticed this and were instantly worried about her.
"Are you feeling alright? Do you need some doctor's assistance?" Lisa pondered as she placed a hand on her forehead, "You don't seem sick.. maybe you need some rest. Amber and Klee told me that you were acting differently today"
The grandmaster nodded, there is no use on pursuing work if she's feeling like this. There is only one thing that could maybe help her at a time like this.

You were looking for Jean in the cathedral but she wasn't there, only her sister Barbara. The female told you that she went to the symbol of Venessa, where she always go to whenever she's feeling down. Paimon decided to stay back, she thought that maybe you anf Jean needed some time to talk together.
When you reached the area, Jean was standing on the center while admiring the huge tree.
She felt that someone was watching her, so she turned her head around and saw you. Her heart jumped but she maintained a warm smile on her face. Jean tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, "Ah, you're here too.."
You slowly walked to where she was and admired the beauty of the tree, "Are you feeling alright..?"
Jean took a deep breath, she couldn't take it anymore. "I don't like you being with Lisa all the time.." she mumbled in a small voice. "I was just too.. embarassed to admit it. Plus I don't even play a huge role in your life too, so I felt that I don't have any right to tell you this"
A chuckle escaped from your lips when you heard Jean said it. Her cheeks turned red once more again, "Don't laugh at me!"
"Its just cute that you admitted this to me, although me and Paimon already had a hunch of what you truly feel" you smiled and placed a kiss on her cheeks, "And I like you too, don't be jealous of Lisa. We're just collecting the books.. nothing else!"
Jean pouts as she realizes that there was nothing to be even jealous of to begin with. But at least she told you what she really felt which felt good to know that you felt the same way.
