The icy waters sent frostbite washing through your body once you hit the vast oceans. Everything felt numb, you couldn't even feel the pain from the heavenly chains earlier when you received divine retribution as the frigid temperature had numbed your sense of touch. But even so, you could still feel the void left by the abandonment of your kin.
Is this the end? You ask yourself as you reach your arm, hoping that someone would save you from your disastrous life but alas, everyone from your kin must've hated you by now.
As the sound of the sea filled your sense of hearing, your eyes grew heavy. Time slowly went by but to no avail, no one seems to be hearing your plea that eventually.. you succumbed to the abyssal sea.

THE LIGHT FACTION ELYSIUM
A faction where all those who seek harmony and the betterment of humans reside. They mostly consist of saints and angels that serve one common god. Yet no one had seen this god yet, they all purely rely on intuition and faith to what they believe.
Each angel has one goal, that is to let the light shine through the darkness. No matter what happens, they must advocate harmony over chaos.

THE DARK FACTION NIFLHEIM
Where chaos arise and every demon has a one current goal and that is to spread turmoil and instill fear and hatred to humanity. This faction consists of demons and former angels who were exiled as they went against the word of their god.
These demons freely roam the mortal realm to search for lost souls to redirect them towards the abyssal darkness and cause them never ending agony.

You woke up in a jolt causing a throbbing pain on your forehead. A pained hiss escaped from your lips as you look at Hu Tao in front of you, seemingly in pain as the impact of your foreheads were rather powerful.
Hu Tao rubbed the red colored mark on her forehead as she look at you apologetically, "Aiyah, I shouldn't have loomed over you like that! A karma for trying to scare you to wake you up.."
You narrowed your eyes and slowly stood up. Seeing Hu Tao in her casual clothing tells you that there is no school for today and you are free to spend the weekend. She sat on the edge of her bed, eyeing you curiously as you rummage through your closet to find a suitable clothing for the day.
"Where... even are you going?" Hu Tao blinked for a few seconds before remembering something and gasping. She sneaked behind you and suprisingly, she hugged you with all her might making you stagger for a bit. "Oh oh! I perfected this magical circle that can summon divine beings. Shall we try it later at night?"
"I don't know Hu Tao, isn't that a bit.. dangerous?" You wavered and tapped Hu Tao's arm that was wrapped around your shoulder. "Alright alright.. Dainsleif must be tired of waiting for me. I really should go.."
When Hu Tao pulled away, a concerned expression replaced her former carefree look. She crossed her arms and tapped her foot on the wooden floor. "Are you really trusting him? I mean.. he seems rather sketchy and the fact that he told us that he's a divine being-?"
You pursed your lips.
Dainsleif suddenly showed up from nowhere and started telling you that you were the one he's been searching for. The chosen one to end the strife between the Light and Dark Faction. But you are just a mere human with little to no knowledge about the celestial beings.
"I must find out and if I wasn't the chosen one, then I want to help them resolve the conflict" you replied with a determined tone before running out of the shared dormitory.
Hu Tao heaved out a sigh, "I should ask Zhongli about this" she then took out an ofuda, a paper talisman with characters written on it and started chanting. The chant opened up a some sort of portal towards the Niflheim, where she meets up with some of her divine friends.

〘 HU TAO 🦋 〙
The direct descent of a clan of people who has the ability to open up portals towards the realm of the divine beings. The clan had disappeared due to arson from the people who believed that they were witches that had an advocate to spread hexes and curses.
Being the lone survivor of her clan, she uses her ability to visit her deceased relatives to the other side to seek guidance of what her goal in the mortal realm is.

A blonde haired man awaits at the top of a peak with an emotionless look on his face. He looks through the boundary in which he uses to cross in order to get to the mortal realm.
"Dainsleif! Sorry... I'm rather ...late" you struggled to let the words out as you felt a burning sensation creep up on your throat. "Why are we here..?"

〘 DAINSLEIF 🌙 〙
The Boughkeeper. He judges the souls on which faction they should go into and guide those who are lost to where they should be.
One of the first celestial beings, full of mysteries since he couldn't remember how he died nor became a god in the first place. The vivid memories of his past was all he could remember, that's why he chooses to give up remembering them.

Pilos peak, the borderline of the mortal realm where humanity thrives and the divine realm where celestial beings currently live in factions and disturbance. A place where Dainsleif lives to watch over the current situation of Elysium and Niflheim.
Dainsleif looked at you with a mournful look. He motioned for you to come to his side, in front of the huge ominous portal. "What do you see..?"
Chaos, Destruction, Catastrophe.
"This is the divine realm today" Dainsleif glanced through the portal to see the Elysium slowly turning into a gray color. While the Niflheim has a menacing crimson veil wrapped through its city. "..I need your help to stop the strife between the two factions"
