"...But it's over between us"
Cold and warm droplets of water poured on my cheeks and when I touched them, it was a mixture of my warm tears and the cold raindrops from the sky, I felt that the sky was crying with me.
Kaeya showed no remorse upon looking at my pained expression. He turned his back and walked towards a female student with an umbrella on her hand, she looked at my direction with a smirk before Kaeya stepped under the umbrella. The female smiled at me then placed a chaste kiss on Kaeya's cheek before walking away.
I looked at both of them in disgust, the feeling of throwing up was rather overwhelming that I fell down on my knees and felt that my words were piling up in my throat.
How disgusting.. I thought to myself as I continued to get drenched with the cold rain, choking on the words that wanted to spill from my mouth but couldn't.
The hatred I feel for myself was unbearable that I wanted to end things from then on but then I realized that it was a waste to end my life for such a human being. So I stood up firmly even though my knees were wobbling, the feeling of throwing up was still there and my insides felt mushy.
I then ran forward.
I ran past the students who were walking through the campus, shoving them away even though it was rude of me to do so. They gave me glared and I heard profanities but I didn't care for what they have to say at this point that I continued running even though I am shivering under the harsh rain.
My feet had taken me towards the fountain where both me and Kaeya first met. There was a legend that if you continued wishing for something you yearn for in the fountain, someday you'd get that wish. But of course, all good things comes to an end and before I knew it, everything I worked hard for was out of reach.

OR MAYBE, WERE YOU THE CAUSE OF SOMETHING YOU REGRET IN LIFE WHICH MADE YOU HOLD A GRUDGE AGAINST YOURSELF ?

"Uwaa.. it's been so long after I last saw you!" I playfully hit Bennett on the chest making him laugh in response. "Oh yeah, before you go travel once more let me give you something as a token of our friendship!"
I took out my small backpack and rummaged inside of it to grab a small doll that I sewed. There was a doll that looked like Bennett and the other doll resembles myself and with a smile, I gave Bennett the doll that looks like him.
A wondrous expression plastered on his expression once he received his doll. Bennett gently ran his finger on the cloth doll, his face breaks down into a smile as he hugs the small doll. "I love it (Y/n), thank you very much!"
But as soon as he broke the hug, the button that was an imitation for an eye had fallen down from the doll's face and began rolling down at the middle of the street. A gasp escaped my lips as soon I saw the button roll but before Bennett could ran over the button, I stopped him from doing so and quickly ran towards the spot where the button was.
( a/n : and this is where i start to realize that i am bad on writing stories in first person point of view )
I crouched down to get the button but then froze when I heard the loud sound of a car's horn. When I looked up, a car was on the way on my direction with such speed that made me freeze on my tracks.
"(Y/n)!!"
Everything fell in slow motion and I closed my eyes preparing for the impact but I felt a forceful push on my back which made me tumbled on the side of the road.
When I regained my consciousness, I slowly came to realize at what had hapened. The only word that escaped my mouth is,
"...B-Benett..?"

AS SOON I STARTED TO GIVE UP COMPLETELY, A RAY OF HOPE SHONE THROUGH MY DARKEST DAYS

"Hi, my name is Aether. It's rather, nice to be talking to you"
I looked up from my desk and saw a blonde haired boy, waving his hand and giving me a welcoming smile.
"I'm (Y/n) and... likewise"
I didn't want to be rude so I smiled back at him and gave him a nod before going back to what I was doing before, writing potential lyrics on a small notebook.
It was a distant dream of mine to be a songwriter as it was a hobby of mine to jot down lyrics about what I feel during that time. Though I'm not really confident with my voice, I'd still try to sing to my heart's content.
I thought that Aether would somehow read the atmosphere and leave but he decided to occupy the empty seat next to me. It was rather a huge classroom and being the ambivert that I am, I decided to take a seat far away from my friends and enjoy the ambience of being alone.
But..
"I've been watching you from afar and I was trying to approach you but you were always with your friends" Aether bashfully scratched his cheeks as he looked away. "Um, if you don't mind me asking.. are you feeling.. well these days?"
I stopped writing down on my notebook and looked at Aether and said nothing about his question.
Yeah.. am I feeling okay? I asked myself over and over again, yet I couldn't seem to find the answer to my own question. Instead I just shake my head at Aether and smiled, "I hope you're doing well though"
Aether pursed his lips, "If you ever need any help.. I'm here to assist okay? Even if it's a personal problem or academically related, I'll try my best to help you"
I blinked for a few times before breaking a smileand eventually, laughter erupted from my throat. Aether looked at me weirdly as if I was slowly becoming crazy then asked, "Did I said anything wrong?"
"You're weird.." I grinned and shook my head before looking down on my notebook and started writing once more. "...But thank you.."
And that's when I realized that my once cataclysmic world is slowly altering itself for the better.
