On one the top of the cliffs in Stormbearer's Lair, lies a lone dandelion flower. Dandelions are meant to be given to someone special and this flower is a promise of faithfulness.
People from Mondstadt loves dandelions as they are reminded of their freedom once the seeds of the flower flies through where the wind takes them.
The lone dandelion on the cliff was picked from the ground by a blonde man dressed gallantly. A mysterious mask covers almost half of his face. His eye glistened upon picking the flower on the ground.
White colored seeds fluttered through the beat of the wind once he picked the flower. He stared at the flower for a minute before letting the stem gets blown away by the wind too.
A sigh escaped his lips as he diverts his attention towards the worn out tower at the middle of the lair. He vividly remembers what the lair looked like centuries ago, it wasn't always like this. This was formally the capital of Mondstadt, but after the former ruthless archon was slained, a new archon has taken his place and moved the people to somewhere safe.
The man then teleported near where the mighty wolf resided, Andrius. Though the first time that the man had seen Andrius, he wasn't the spirit he now today. Andrius protects the precious wolves from wolvendom against hunters. The archon had noticed of his nobelity and bravery that after Andrius had taken to rest, his spirit would forever fulfill his duties as the protector of wolvendom.
After reminiscing about the past, the man then moved to Mondstadt. He had heard that there was a rather famous winery there and there is he heading for to take a small rest. Upon entering the city of Mond, he scanned the city of freedom.
He was rather happy that the city was saved by the boundless shackles of the previous archon..
Only his kingdom was saved as well..
"Welcome to the Mondstadt, dear traveler. My name is Katheryn, would you like to join the adventurer's guild?"
A woman asked upon him walking past a booth.
"There are plently of things that adventurers do and in exchange, we can give you bountiful items!"
The man stopped walking and stared at Katheryn with a blank look on his face. He seemed uninterested with the guild as he'd rather not be affiliated with something like that as he'd rather work alone.
"Katheryn, I'm done with the commissions!"
Both Katheryn and the man turned their attentions to the newcomer. The traveller ran towards the booth and enthusiastically leaned against the wooden counter. Their companion, Paimon also popped out of thin air and was rather excited too. She was stretching her arms and then proceeded to pat her small stomach.
"I'm beat! Give us the money so we can already eat!" Paimon exclaimed.
"Paimon's a little excited. Here (Y/n), thank you for the hard work" Katheryn handed the traveller the loot. "And oh! You're still here.. do you consider joining the guild?"
When the traveller placed the reward in their bag, their eyes looked up to see the mysterious man who was also looking at their direction. When the two of their eyes met, the man averted his eyes then continued walking elsewhere.
The man looked up, towards the stone wall. On top of one of the pillars, there was a blonde haired boy watching over the traveler he had encountered before. Once that the blonde haired boy noticed the man's attention, the boy turned around and jumped off the wall.
It has seem that they are still watching over their sibling. The man thought as he continued walking until he reaches the tavern.
The smell of grape and alcohol filled his senses. He knew that the people in Mondstadt loved drinking wine, hence why the tavern is filled even though it's in the middle of daylight.
"Welcome to Angel's Share, I haven't seen you around yet. My name is Charles, what's yours?" The friendly bartender greeted the man upon him entering the warm tavern.
"Dainsleif"
The man simply replied.
"Feel free to request some juice or alcohol from me, this one's on the house since you're new here or you can just rest on one of the tables. Welcome to Mondstadt!"
Dainsleif nods and walk towards the table at the end of the room. He just sat there and started thinking, until he was interrupted by him feeling a presence in front of him. He opened his eyes and revealed the traveler from earlier.
The traveller was speaking but Dainsleif was just staring at the traveller, something about them gives Dainsleif a wave of nostalgia wash over him.
And that moment onwards, Dainsleif had vowed to protect the traveller from harm's way throughout their journey.
