It was springtime once more and it means that classes are starting once more. Fragrant frangipani flowers were falling down from it's trees by the gates of your school which gives off a citrusy-rose scent. These yellow-white gradient colored flowers piled up by the sidewalks and continued spreading the unique scent through the air.
"Good morning, Xiao!" you waved at the certain male who was walking towards the main entrance of the school. He looked back at you for a moment and stopped on his tracks to wait for you to catch up with him. "I guess we're going to be classmates once again!"
Xiao has been your classmate / friend since kindergarten. He would always be around you whenever you needed someone to lean against, in return you would always be there for him every time because he only has a limited amount of friends. You tried helping him on his social skills but it still inevitably failed. Not that you wanted to get rid of him, but you were just worried if you're not around.
"Sometimes I wonder why I'm always ending up classmates with you," an exasperated sigh escapes your lips. "Not that I'm complaining though!"
"I can't say the same about you.." the male averted his gaze towards the other side. "..but I am rather glad"
You grin as you walk side by side with Xiao. He looked at the corner of his eyes and saw a glimpse of your smile which made him smile a little too. Xiao will not admit it, but he's rather happy that you chose to stay after all these years. He feels at ease around you and he's rather comfortable sharing all the pain and hardships he went through without the feeling that you'll turn your back against him.
When you both arrived at the classroom, Xiao took the seat right behind you and quickly fished out a pastel green colored envelope inside from his bag. He looked at it intently then at you before stuffing it inside of his bag once more. You suddenly stood up and walked over to your other friends while Xiao just watched from afar.
"Yo, Xiao!!" Venti, one of Xiao's limited friends, suddenly threw his backpack on the seat next to him and raised his hand for a high-five. Xiao simply just looked at him with an intent look making Venti lower his hand slowly, as if his pride had been pierced through by Xiao's stare. "Aah, what has been downing you in the dumps lately?"
Xiao frowned and turned away from his friend. But at the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of 2 other females which one, is looking at him bluntly yet curiously while the other has a look of pure excitement a̶n̶d̶ ̶t̶e̶r̶r̶o̶r.
"Do you know who these kids belong to?" the teal haired male pointed at the two. Venti looked down and gasped as he forgot that he was supposed to be taking the two around the school. "Ahh, so they're the teachers' daughters.."
Xiao looked over to the blonde haired female with pigtails and a red colored hat. He placed a small pat on her head which made her jump all around.
"The red girl is Klee while the other is Qiqi," Venti scratched the top of his head as he eyed the two girls. "Aah, I forgot that the teachers are having a meeting this morning. These kids wanted to do something fun although.. I'm not sure what kind of fun would they like"
