'It's not real, it's not real, it's not real, it's not real...'

Jesse was sitting on the floor with his back against the connecting wall between his guest room and the living room. He held his revolver in his hands and was leaning his forehead against the barrel.

He could hear voices on the other side. His head was still spinning from drunkenness. He had no idea of how he had gotten back to the house or for how long he had been out. All he could establish was that it must have been late in the evening, because it was now dark outside.

He must have blacked out completely from Reinhardt's more than generous alcohol supply because he couldn't remember anything after the whiskey had entered the picture. Peaceful sleep, though, stayed out of the picture: the nightmares had been horrendous.

His hands were struggling to keep the revolver steady. He was badly shaken up from the whole situation and wasn't sure if he was still sleeping. He had to be... this had to be a part of the nightmare.

He could hear Angela's voice in the living room along with Reinhardt's and Ana's. What scared him though was that he could swear that he also heard Jack's. It sounded different from how he remembered it from 15 years ago, but it was very clearly his former superior's voice.

Jesse did not know what to do and just sat there, his hair and clothes an outright mess, staring out into nothingness.

Somehow he hoped that he would wake up and it would all wash away.

He had been sitting there for quite some time, but the voices didn't stop. Part of him wanted to get up and check, but he was scared of what, or whom, he might face.

Reinhardt was staring daggers at a very pale Jack struggling to find his words.

"Hum...," Jack began. "I think I ha-"

Suddenly the door to the guest room slammed open as Jesse flew out with his revolver aimed at the table the group was sitting around.

Everyone gasped and were on their feet within split seconds, backing away from Jesse. Everyone except Reinhardt who quickly barreled over to him and grabbed him.

"You!?" Jesse yelled. "Why are you not dead?! I wi-"

Reinhardt lifted Jesse up in his arms and covered his mouth with one hand. He wrapped the other arm around the cowboy's chest while firmly holding onto the revolver with his hand, aiming it away from Angela, Ana and Jack.

"Jesse!?" Angela cried out in shock. "Jesse what are you doing here? What is going on?"

"Oh, Jesse...," Ana said distraught.

Jack put himself in front of Angela and Ana, shielding them from whatever Jesse was about to do. He didn't say anything, he just stared at a furious Jesse in Reinhardt's arms.

"Ana!" Reinhardt ordered, trying to keep his voice calm while he struggled with Jesse's wrath-fueled fit. "Take Angela for a walk up to the castle. It is most beautiful in the moonlight."

Ana tilted her head.

"Can't we just sit down and talk?" she said. "I am sorry, Jesse. I did not have time to tell you about Angela and Jack coming by..."

Muffled noises were coming from underneath Reinhardt's hand as Jesse was screaming for him to let go.

"Ana," Reinhardt repeated in a more determined tone as he locked eyes with her. "Ana, Liebes... please. I will handle this."

Jack looked at Ana and then turned to Angela.

"It will be fine," he calmly said. "We have some unfinished business to deal with. Take a walk with Ana."
