This story is the continuation of Behind closed doors so if you haven't read that one I suggest to start there. This novel is more storydriven than BCD and also involves more focus on the other characters in the Overwatch family.
The story picks up...
*This is the continuation of my other story: Behind closed doors*
Mood: Walls could talk - Halsey
Gabriel rubbed his wrists as the handcuffs were unlocked and he could finally move his arms.
"Was that really necessary?" he asked and glanced over at Jack who was now standing beside the bed, running his fingers through his bright white hair.
"I can't take any chances with you," Jack replied, concerned.
"I am not that person now... they don't control me anymore," Gabriel said reassuring as he pulled the covers over his legs.
"Who you say you are and what you actually are, are two different things, Reyes," Jack grumbled.
He started pacing back and forth in the room, completely naked. Gabriel could tell his mind was struggling by the troubled expression on his face.
Gabriel laid in bed, watching the beautiful man in front of him. Many years had passed, they were both much older than back in the Overwatch days, but Jack was still as handsome as ever.
Gabriel decided to try and lighten the mood.
"You could at least have gone a bit easy on me... we are not 30 anymore you know...," he said and rubbed his sore behind.
Jack stopped and a faint smile formed on his face.
"It was 15 years in the making, couldn't help it."
Gabriel gave Jack a cheeky smile and lifted the covers.
"Come back to me," he softly said and patted the bed.
Jack hesitated for a moment but then crawled back in bed and laid on top of Gabriel. He gave his lover a sweet and passionate kiss.
Gabriel took a deep breath when Jack's lips connected to his. The warmth of his body, his smell and the taste. He just couldn't believe that they were actually together again. It was like a dream.

Jack stroked Gabriel's long hair and looked him in the eye.
"There is just so much that is different now," Jack said as he twirled one of Gabriel's locks. "Your body..."
Gabriel sighed and closed his eyes. He knew what Jack meant.
"The changes... your hair wasn't long when we got here..."
Jack rolled over and laid on his back next to Gabriel.
"Why... I mean, I thought you were dead. Why now? Why did you come back?"
Gabriel swallowed and a tear escaped the corner of his eye.
"I have fought so hard to bury these feelings...," Jack continued while staring up at the ceiling of the dim hotel room. "You hurt me... you hurt me so bad."
