This story is the continuation of Behind closed doors so if you haven't read that one I suggest to start there. This novel is more storydriven than BCD and also involves more focus on the other characters in the Overwatch family.
The story picks up...
'Stupid hormones...,' Angela thought as she giggled at her body's reaction to the situation.
No, she did not want the two men she cared so much about to hurt each other. How she would get them to stop was a completely different problem though. Jack was clearly not in the mood to be pushed on the matter now and Gabriel... She sighed. She would try to talk to him the next time he was feeling better.
Maybe a few hours of labor would calm Jack down and in the meantime she could continue her work on both Gabriel's and Jack's test results.
Hours passed and when the sun was setting, Angela heard the door open and Jack's familiar grunt as he stepped inside.
She heard him walk to the bathroom and the shower being turned on. She headed out in the kitchen and put on some coffee for him.
Eventually Jack stepped out of the shower, got dressed and sat down in the living room.
Angela walked up to him with a mug of coffee. Jack was wearing a black t-shirt and black pants. He had the glasses on that Torbjörn had given him and was wearing his red combat gloves.
"Are your eyes hurting?" Angela kindly asked as she walked up to him and handed him the mug.
"Yeah...," Jack sighed and raised an eyebrow as he looked at the mug. "What is this?"
Angela giggled as she walked behind him and put her hands on his shoulders, gently massaging them.
"A present," she said. "I thought it was cute."
Jack lifted the mug and looked at it in great detail. It was a blue mug that said 'Daddy 76' on it. A smile formed on the grumpy Commander's face.
"Do you like it?" Angela asked as she leaned in and gave his cheek a kiss.
"Where did you get this?" he asked.
"I ordered it," she replied. "Custom made for you... you know... since you called yourself Soldier 76... I thought it was funny... and fitting now."
"Very nice," he said and turned his head to give her lips a quick kiss. "Thank you."
As goosebumps formed on his arms, Angela stood up. She reached for Jack's jacket and hung it over his shoulders and then went back to massaging him.
"I wondered where that one was," Jack said.

"I cleaned it for you," Angela said.
Jack let out a moan and closed his eyes as his sore muscles were treated to some much needed care, while sipping on the coffee every now and then.
When Angela's hands eventually got tired, she leaned her arms over her man's shoulders and rested her head against his.
