"You said that you would not hurt him!"

"He hurt himself."

Jack woke up in a panic and sat up.

"Good morning, sleepyhead."

"Huh?" he uttered confused and turned from side to side. "Where... where am I?"

Hearing Ana's voice calmed him down somewhat but he was still completely unaware of where he was. He felt around himself and concluded that he was sitting in a bed with covers over his legs.

"You are in Sweden," Ana calmly said. "In Torbjörn's basement."

"How... how did I...?" he stammered and then sighed. "You put that damn needle in me, didn't you?"

He could hear Ana taking a sip of her tea.

"Well," she said. "You would not stop arguing with me... I have been telling you not to argue with me for 20 years, in fact."

Jack huffed displeased.

"Here," she continued. "Some tea to wake you up."

"Why is it dark?" Jack asked as a mug was placed in his hand. "My eyes have stopped hurting now... please turn the lights on."

Ana sighed and took another sip.

"The lights are on, Jack...," she said in a low voice. "You are still unable to see anything?"

Jack hung his head and shook it slowly.

"That damn... monster...," he grunted. "At least she is dead now..."

Ana did not respond.

"Right?" Jack continued. "She is dead now, right? She fell... I saw it."

"We combed through the facility after the smoke had cleared to retrieve everyone's weapons, but unfortunately we did not find her body."

Jack shook his head again and muttered in anger.

"And what about Genji's brother?"

"Nothing. We did not find his body either... nor any trace of Gabriel."

"But it was his roar we heard? Did you see him?" Jack asked, concern in his voice.

"Yes, we saw him... but by the time we had gotten inside, he was gone," Ana said and paused for a few seconds. "Jack... it was not a pretty sight... Lord knows what she has done to him since you two last saw each other."

Jack drank some tea and kept shaking his head.

"Fucking hell...," he muttered to himself. "I just don't get why he went back there! He could have gone anywhere but there!"

"I just don't get why he went back there! He could have gone anywhere but there!"

Ana put a hand on Jack's hand and patted it.

"Well," she calmly said. "For now, no news is good news. If he is alive there is still a chance to save him... and if not, well... we will have to try to find some comfort in that he finally got some relief from the hell he was stuck in."
