This story is the continuation of Behind closed doors so if you haven't read that one I suggest to start there. This novel is more storydriven than BCD and also involves more focus on the other characters in the Overwatch family.

Mood: Every time I look at you - KISS
Genji found Angela not far from the house. She was sitting on the ground with her head hanging down. Her wings lit up the darkness of the night along with her halo.
He slowly approached her and watched as she grabbed her halo and threw it to the side. Her wings soon followed.
"Anger? Sadness? Fright?" he asked.
Angela closed her fist with her body trembling.
"Shame...," she almost whispered.
Genji's steps were determined as he reached her. He grasped her hand and pulled her standing up.
He opened his visor and briefly looked into her eyes before pulling her close, holding her.
"Let it out," he said in a deep voice.
Angela closed her eyes tightly with her hands on Genji's chest.
"Let it out," Genji repeated.
"I... I do not deserve relief," Angela stammered.
"We need you," Genji replied. "It is not over yet. Let it out."
"I... I cannot go back..."
"You can... and you will. Your knowledge is needed once my master has completed his ritual... I need you to be at your best. Three people will depend on it," he said in the same calm and grave voice. "It is your duty."
"I cannot... I cannot..."
Angela's body shivered in Genji's arms. She was holding back, but he could feel her body giving in. He rubbed her back.
"There you go... let it out...," he whispered.
Angela broke down crying, leaning against his chest. He patiently waited for her to let her troubles surface. Angela sobbed, punching her small fist against Genji's armor.
"I got you... let everything out," Genji encouraged her.
Eventually the doctor's breathing slowed down. Her body relaxed in the younger Shimada's arms.
Genji removed his helmet completely, letting his black hair out into the cold evening air, and with that, showing his scarred face that was usually mostly hidden behind the armor covering his face.
He put a hand on Angela's face, tilting her head upwards to face him. He wiped her tears away and once more looked into her eyes. She looked up at him.
"You did well in there," he said. "You gave them a chance. You gave my Master what he needed to perform his work... but he will still need you... and so will the others. I want you to come with me."
Angela let herself disappear in his dark eyes. He was determined and she found herself slowly nodding at his request.
