This story is the continuation of Behind closed doors so if you haven't read that one I suggest to start there. This novel is more storydriven than BCD and also involves more focus on the other characters in the Overwatch family.
The story picks up...
Some of the men still loyal to Hanzo drew their swords but were quickly overthrown by Talon soldiers and other members of the clan. They were forced to their knees with guns pointed at their heads and knifes placed at their throats.
"Traitor!" Hanzo screamed.
He gathered the last strength he could find and threw himself at Lily.
He barely got off the ground before he was wrestled down by several men. He screamed out his pain as a knee was placed on his back and his hands were tied tightly together.
Genji watched in despair trying to figure out what to do. He turned his head back to where Jesse went.
"Jesse!?" he desperately tried to call out as quietly as he could, hoping that Jesse might have heard what was going on and come back, but there was no response.
He could really have used his best friend here now.
He was angry and frustrated with both Jesse and Hanzo for getting him caught in the middle of all of this. He needed to find Jesse but he couldn't leave his brother at this point.
There were dozens of Talon soldiers on and above the garden and just as many clan members that clearly had turned against their leader, all pointing their weapons at Hanzo and his followers.
"Let this be a lesson to all of you!" Lily proclaimed. "This is what happens when you place yourself above our laws!"
A man grabbed Hanzo by the hair and pulled him off the ground. He pulled up his clothes and then placed him on his knees. Hanzo grunted as a sword was pushed against his throat.
Some of the women tried to run to Hanzo but were held back. Their desperate cries rang through the area.
The gravel had scraped against his skin while being pushed down and he had red marks and bruises on his face and chest.

"Look at you!" Lily sneered at Hanzo. "Such a disgrace!"
Hanzo growled with anger. His back was throbbing with pain but he refused to show any weakness.
The men loyal to Hanzo were dragged over the ground and placed in front of him. He could see the fear in their eyes.
"This is not about them," he growled at Lily. "It's me you want dead. Kill me and let them go!"
Lily raised an eyebrow.
"Betrayal of the clan is punished by death! So many men I have watched you have executed for less than this and now you want me to show mercy!"
"They are loyal to me! The leader of this clan!" Hanzo growled at her.
"Ha-ha!" Lily cackled. "You abandoned this clan the second you spread your legs for the man who slaughtered our men. You are no leader. You are a traitor and you have dishonored this entire clan!"
