Mood: Memories - Maroon 5
"GABRIEL!!!"
A loud crash was heard as porcelain shattered into pieces.
"Mish mumkin!"
"Let me take care of that, dear."
"No, I will fix it, go and tend to the boy."
Jesse flew out of bed, drenched in sweat and hyperventilating heavily. He had no idea where he was and frantically looked around the room to orient himself.
He was only wearing his boxers and a t-shirt. He was unable to locate the rest of his clothes...or his revolver.
When the door was opened he panicked and backed up firmly into a wall. His head was spinning and his vision blurry.
A huge man stepped into the room causing Jesse to scream out in terror.
"Calm down, Jesse, it is just me!"
Jesse swallowed and took a few deep, uneven breaths as he tried to focus his eyes on the man.
"Reinhardt!?" Jesse said in a confused and shaky voice. "Reinhardt! Oh, my God, Reinhardt!"
His fear and confusion turned into relief and a sense of security. He completely broke down, sinking to the floor with his back still leaning against the wall. He buried his face in his hands with tears streaming down his cheeks.
"I didn't mean to scare you, lad," Reinhardt calmly said as he was walking up to him and putting one of his large hands on Jesse's head. "Were you having a nightmare?"
Jesse nodded.
Reinhardt sat down next to him and started to chuckle.
"Your screaming scared the last bit of color out of Ana's hair... we were just about to have some lovely tea and can you believe that she dropped the entire tray? The best sniper in the world, eh?" he teased and bumped his shoulder against Jesse's.
He lowered his voice.
"It looked hilarious... but please don't tell her I said that. She is still the scariest woman I've met in my entire life once she gets angry and I've met Torbjörn's wife, HAHA!"
Jesse looked up at him and was met with a huge heartwarming grin.
Ana stepped into the room while drying her hands on a towel.
"There, that was that taken care of...," she calmly said. "Are you two behaving in here?"
Jesse's eyes were red and glossy from crying and when he saw Ana's friendly face he jumped up from the floor and ran over to her. He kneeled down in front of the short, elderly woman and wrapped his arms around her while leaning his head against her stomach.
"Oh, Ana...," he sniffled.
"There, there...," she comforted while embracing him. "You are safe now, we are here."
She patiently let him get all of his anxiety and sorrows out and looked over at Reinhardt who smiled a sympathetic smile back at her.
She put a hand on Jesse's head and in a motherly fashion ran her fingers through his messy hair.
"See, Reinhardt," she said with a chuckle and glanced over at the mountain of a man still sitting on the floor. "I may have lost my youth, but the men still drop to my feet."
Reinhardt huffed.
"Now, don't get any funny ideas here, boy!" he grunted cheekily. "That one is mine!"
