This story is the continuation of Behind closed doors so if you haven't read that one I suggest to start there. This novel is more storydriven than BCD and also involves more focus on the other characters in the Overwatch family.
The story picks up...
If Genji saw them here together it would be a disaster in the making. He had promised to stay away from Jesse until he had this thing with his body sorted out.
His heart was aching from having to leave Jack, but he couldn't risk hurting him anymore. Being around Jack arose something within him that was very dangerous and despite how painful it was, he knew that he had made the right decision. There was something wrong about their relationship and it always had been. He had to stop fooling himself that it could actually work.
Before, it had been Jack that had been the violent and unstable one, causing a lot of damage to everyone, but now when the tables turned it ended up being even more destructive. Genji had made him realize that and even though the truth had hurt, he needed to hear it.
After he had left Jack, he had planned to leave Hanamura until his mind and emotions calmed down. He needed to mourn over this, but on the way he had found Jesse in clear distress and he just couldn't leave him like that. Jesse had looked like he was about to get himself in some serious trouble and Gabriel knowing that something bad had gone down between Jesse, Hanzo and Genji, he wanted to make sure that he was at least somewhat safe before leaving him.
He sighed and looked down at Jesse who was clinging on to his body.
"Jesse," he said in a serious tone. "Listen to me, boy. I can't be around you right now. I am not the person you need."
Jesse shook his head and looked up at him.
"Gabriel... please. Please, don't leave me. I can't take it!" he pleaded.
Jesse's eyes widened and Gabriel wondered in confusion about what had caused it.
Suddenly Jesse let go of his embrace of Gabriel and looked down.
A few seconds went by before Jesse grabbed Gabriel's coat and opened it up. His hands reached for Gabriel's belt and he started to frantically undo it.

"Jesse?" Gabriel asked confused and reached for his hands. "Jesse what are you doing?"
Jesse pulled his hands away from Gabriel and kept yanking on his pants to get them open.
"You don't want to leave me... you don't..." Jesse mumbled stressed.
"Jesse! Jesse, stop it!"
Gabriel became more and more annoyed.
"You're not leaving... you're staying with me..." Jesse kept mumbling while more and more aggressively trying to avoid Gabriel's attempts to get a grip of his arms.
He managed to get Gabriel's pants open which caused Gabriel to give out a disapproving grunt. Gabriel tried to stand back up but Jesse threw himself at him, grabbing his coat with one hand and reaching down his pants with the other.
