This story is the continuation of Behind closed doors so if you haven't read that one I suggest to start there. This novel is more storydriven than BCD and also involves more focus on the other characters in the Overwatch family.
The story picks up...
Hanzo grumbled to himself as he held Zenyatta in his arms. He might have made a mistake, but he was not about to make another one.
He could hear commotion outside. Voices and then... gunfire.
In a rapid succession, chaos. Screams, bullets penetrating armor.
Doubt entered the Shimada's mind. What if he was wrong? Had he left Jesse out there to die?
A door slammed shut, followed by cackling. That cackle. It sent chills through his spine.
"It seems as if my collection is almost complete."
Silence. Oh, how he hated that voice... hated it!
Tut-tutting, demeaning.
"Oh, Hanzo Shimada. You cannot hide from me forever. There is no way out. Do not be silly."
Hanzo hugged Zenyatta tighter. His pulse was running high. He could not hear Jesse's voice anymore. If that was Jesse. What if it was? What if it was not?
Panic rose within him.
Suddenly he stopped himself. He did not panic. He was a Shimada. This was his city! If they wanted it, they would have to fight for it!
As the enemies on the other side of the door did their best to force it open, Hanzo stood up. He lifted Zenyatta and managed to secure him on his back, using his quiver and his ribbons.
Once the Omnic was strapped, he stared at the door. Patience.

The big, heavy metal door started to move. The old, rusty hinges would give in at any moment now. Whatever Talon had on the other side, it was strong enough to break through.
Cackling again.
Hanzo held his bow, aiming an arrow at the door. Patience.
The first hinge came loose, sending an echo through the room as the metal landed on the ground. Hanzo's eyes did not move. Whatever was going to meet him would get hell to deal with.
Blue light sparked from his eyes and his tattoo lit up. His dragons shared his rage and were eager to fight. Even Hanzo struggled to hold them back. He could hear their roars as they started to form, swirling around him. Patience.
Then, with one last push, the door came off its hinges and fell to the ground with a loud bang.
On the other side... Nothing. They knew what to expect. They had seen it, they had run into his dragons before.
Then she stepped forward.
Hands clasped behind her back. Straight posture with a smirk on her face. The ugly witch of Talon.
