This story is the continuation of Behind closed doors so if you haven't read that one I suggest to start there. This novel is more storydriven than BCD and also involves more focus on the other characters in the Overwatch family.
The story picks up...
"Y-you, you kissed him!" Jesse panted as he pointed a threatening finger at Echo who had taken cover behind Reinhardt. "That was not part of the agreement!"
Hanzo was walking down the stairs behind him.
"I do apologize," Echo said. "He was not convinced by my appearance... so I acted as I thought you would."
Jesse lowered his finger as he thought for a few moments.
"She is not wrong," Reinhardt said with a raised eyebrow and a cheeky smile.
Jesse huffed as he tried to catch his breath. He took a few staggering steps forward, his missing booth making his progress less than dignified.
Echo retreated accordingly. Hanzo crossed his arms as he leaned against the doorframe.
"Show me," Jesse said. "Show me how you looked."
Echo looked at Ana who nodded back at her.
A quick twirl and suddenly the Jesse Hanzo had seen was standing in front of them. Hanzo looked at Jesse and then over at Echo. The resemblance was eerie.
"Hmm," Jesse said in a slightly lighter tone. "Quite good, I must say. I didn't get to see it properly before you left."
He walked up to her and looked the outfit up and down.

The group smirked as they saw the light in Jesse's eyes.
"I will make it for you," Ingrid said with a chuckle after a little while.
"You will?!" Jesse said with excitement as he turned to her. "Thank you!"
He treated Torbjörn's wife to a hug, with Hanzo rolling his eyes.
"And what about me?" Hanzo asked.
The group turned to him.
"What about you?" Jesse asked.
Hanzo threw his hands up in the air and walked back up the stairs.
Echo pondered for a few moments.
"I do need to apologize to him as well," she said. "As we all should. We deceived him."
"He cut his hair off!" Jesse shouted. "Look at it!"
"Don't be childish!" Reinhardt barked at him. "He risked his life for this mission. Of course he had to be sure and did what he felt necessary. Just like Echo."
Jesse's head sunk.
"Come with me," Echo said. "Let us take a walk and talk."
After retrieving his clothes, Jesse joined Echo outside.
"Are you really that upset that I kissed him?" Echo asked.
