"Jack... I can't believe that it is actually you!" Angela said with a sigh of relief as she held his body tighter.

Jack put a hand on hers and gently rubbed them.

Although, he was supposed to be dead and her presence brought back a lot of mixed memories, if there was one face he would actually be happy to see... it would be hers.

He turned around and took off his visor. He squinted as the rays of sunlight hit his eyes, but he wanted to see her without any alterations.

Her golden hair sparkled in the morning sun and she was just as beautiful as he remembered. Her eyes and face were those of an angel and he could hardly tell that many years had passed. She was a woman now and not the young 19-year old she had been when he had last seen her, but she looked pretty much the same.

She was wearing her white armor with the halo over her head that had been the sign of comfort and protection for an uncountable number of people over the years.

"I cannot believe that you are alive!" Angela said with shock in her voice. "Oh, my God, Jack!"

He gently wiped a tear from her cheek and put his hand under her chin.

"Angela...," he said in an exhausted and guttural voice.

"Jack... I have missed you so much!" Angela cried out and threw herself into his arms.

He embraced her and held her close. He gave her cheek a soft kiss as she cried on his shoulder.

"It's okay now...," he whispered. "I am here..."

She hugged him as hard as she could possibly manage. Years of grief turned into relief as she finally had one of her closest friends within her reach again.

"I never thought I would feel your arms around me again, Jack...," she sobbed.

When she finally let go of his strong embrace, she took a step back and gently grasped his cheeks with a soft smile on her face.

"I am so happy to see you, Jack," she said in a shivering voice. "But where on earth have you been all this time? Why did you not let us know that you were alive?"

She looked down at the ground and then back up at his eyes.

"Jack...," she said in a heartbroken tone. "Jack, we held your funeral... It hurt so badly..."

"I know...," he sighed. "Angela, I am sorry... I just... I couldn't go back."

To hide her tears she turned her back to him and looked out over the ruins.

"What are you doing here anyways, Angela?" Jack continued.

She kept quiet for a few seconds to collect her voice.
