Mood: Human - Rag'n'Bone Man
Ana, Jack and Jesse traveled throughout the night and the entire next day.
Not much was said between them. Jesse walked a bit ahead of Ana and Jack, trying to keep his distance.
Both Jack and Jesse's painful steps made them aware of just how much their bodies were aching from their earlier falling out.
Ana watched on as both of them were sunk deeply into their own thoughts. Jesse was visibly wound up and even more so audibly, as his periodical grunts were both full of anger, pain and curses.
As night fell they reached a small town and checked into a hotel. It had been a long journey and they needed to rest.
The hotel also had a small restaurant and after checking in they sat down for some dinner.
Jesse had strongly objected to having dinner at all, especially in the company of Jack, but Ana had sternly told him to sit down and eat.
Jesse avoided eye-contact with Jack and for the most part just stared down at his food. He angrily cut through the steak he had ordered and just as angrily chewed on the pieces of meat.
Jack didn't say anything and ignored Jesse's behavior.
"You know what?" Ana said clearly annoyed as she wiped her mouth with a napkin.
The two men looked up at her.
"There is a castle outside. Meet me up on the wall in 10 minutes," she ordered. "We are going to talk."
"I-," Jesse began to protest, but when the stern elderly woman locked eyes with him he stopped himself. "Fine..."
Ana went to the kitchen to ask something of the cook and Jack and Jesse reluctantly got up and walked outside.
They found the top of the castle wall and Jesse sat down on it, turning his back to Jack who was standing behind him. Neither said a word.
Ana soon emerged with three cups of tea and handed Jack and Jesse a cup each.
"Sit," she said and pointed for Jack to sit down.
Jack sat down a few feet away from Jesse and they both looked up at Ana.
"We are on a mission," Ana began in a stern voice. "I do not have to explain to you two what that means. I also do not have to explain the importance of the task we have ahead of us. We are helping someone that we all deeply care for."
Jesse's heart started beating faster in his chest.
"So this childishness stops this instant!" Ana continued. "Whatever happened between you two back then needs to be cleared out right here and now! We all need to work as a team tomorrow and that means that you need to act like adults and start talking to each other."
Jesse knew that she was right, but he was just too furious.
He was convinced that he and Ana could handle this themselves. He just wanted Jack to leave.
Ana took a sip of her tea while waiting for them to start talking.
Jesse got up on his feet and started pacing back and forth. The rage was bubbling ever higher within him and after a few moments he stopped right in front of Jack who looked up at him.
"You raped me!" Jesse screamed at him, making Ana spit out her tea. "You fucking beat me to a pulp and then you forced me to watch him and you together! Then you fucking raped me in front of him! What the fuck did I ever do to you?!"
