Mood: Gasoline - Halsey

Jack woke up to pain in his arm.

"Not now, Angela," he grunted in a raspy voice before opening his eyes and looking around.

As he looked down and found Gabriel latched onto his wrist, he remembered where he was. He yawned and groaned as he rubbed his eyes with his free hand, trying to clear his vision.

"Could you not at least have woken me up first?" Jack grumbled as he once more looked down at Gabriel.

Gabriel ignored him. He was busy getting what he wanted from Jack's body. Jack took the opportunity to just relax for a bit. Lying in the bed was more comfortable than sitting on the ground. He felt proud of his work. He had found the old guest bed in one of the barns and although it had seen better days, Jack had mended it, fitted it with a mattress and some bedding. It would keep Gabriel more comfortable than sitting in the cold shed on the floor as he had done for weeks now.

Jack had also fixed some of the boards on the wall to stop the draft, along with some insulation. It had helped, because the shed was warm and cozy this morning. Having Gabriel leaning against him had of course also helped.

Jack had not planned to stay, but Gabriel had been uneasy and anxious when Jack had come to him early in the morning... and Angela's words were stuck in his head about Gabriel being scared as well. Gabriel had refused to get into the bed, so Jack had placed himself there to show how comfortable it was and had even patted his hand against the mattress as if to try to convince a spoiled cat to try it out... and eventually Gabriel had crawled up into it and quickly curled up against Jack's chest. Jack decided to let him stay like that since it seemed to relax him.

As Jack had felt Gabriel's dog tags in his pocket, he had placed them around Gabriel's neck and repeated for him to remember who he was and then... they had fallen asleep.

Jack looked around the room and squinted. He was still upset about the webcam and decided to try and locate it.

"Do you know where the camera is?" he asked as he patted Gabriel on the head.

Without moving his mouth away from Jack's wrist, Gabriel reached out and pointed up at a corner of the ceiling. There it was, with a small red light giving away it's hiding spot.

Jack glared at it, as if to shoot daggers through it, if Angela was watching. Not that it would get that woman in line anyways... but he could at least show that he was upset with it. Countless times he had told her to never go near Gabriel without Jack being there... but it felt like just as many times she had disobeyed him.

He was interrupted in his grumpiness by Gabriel's hand finding its way towards his crotch. He was just about to remove it when Angela's voice once again entered his mind.

He grabbed Gabriel's wrist and sighed. He thought for a few moments and looked up at the camera again.

"One second," he said and got out of bed, with Gabriel grunting displeased.

Jack walked over to the corner and reached up for the camera. It was too high for him to reach.

"How did she get it up here?!" he asked, more and more annoyed.

He thought for a few moments, looking around at the lack of things to climb on. He then grunted and looked over at Gabriel, whose eyes were locked at him.

"You lifted her," Jack said candidly. "Didn't you?"

Jack clenched his fists, not receiving an answer from Gabriel.

"Of course you did...," Jack grumbled. "Of course you did... of course she let you do that..."

He took a few deep breaths, grabbed his hair, took a few steps in a circle and then stopped and looked at Gabriel.
