Looking at Cemilian I braced myself and took a deep breath. With the snap of a finger I called forth an ornate leather box.

"Heb-Sel, Nairraic!"

A clicking sound could be hear from within, and with the flick of my wrist I magically flipped open the box.

Inside there were two golden circlets. One had a single large green gem in the center, and the other had an identical green gem with two blue gems on both sides.

I placed the circlet with one gem on Cemilian's forehead, and the other on my mine. I took another deep breath, closed my eyes, leaned in touching both circlets together and kissed Cemilian on the lips.

"Ooh, la la!" I heard Batari exclaim.

I snapped my finger sending an arrow of magic at her.

I heard a small yelp afterwards and felt a bit of satisfaction.

Within the recesses of my mind there was nothing. A vast darkness.

I had to trigger his memories. The only way to do so would be familiar sights, sounds, smells, or, sensations.

Only one of those would be likely to work.

Pain.

I leaned back and looked at Batari.

"I need a favor," I asked.
