After I was sitting comfortably, the Dark One flicked her finger again. This time the tray moved toward me. Slowly and steadily.

It was amazing to see such a feat of skill and precision.

The tray landed squarely at my waist.

Looking at the food I felt my mouth begin to water, and my stomach began to growl.

"Go on now, eat, before it gets cold," she said, as she flicked her finger once more magically pulling a chair up beside the bed.

I picked up the spoon and dipped it into the bowl of soup and brought it to my mouth.

I felt the warmth of the soup and tasted its flavor. It was a bit bland, but at this moment it tasted like heaven.

After several minutes I polished off the entirety of my meal.

"Well your appetite is well enough," the Dark One said taking the tray from me.

She placed it on the nearby table and returned to her seat.

"Give me your hand," she said.

Nervously I placed my hand in her hand.
