I weaved the magic into such intricate patterns and shapes so complex it would take years for anyone to even attempt to unravel the threads.

It was then that I felt it.

That dark surge of hate, that pulse of abyssal life.

I felt my left eye begin to burn that feeling I've only ever felt it on specific occasions and none quite like this.

"Its coming, and it is angry, very, very angry."

The room began to shake, no I'm sure the entire castle was beginning to shake.

"What is that!?" One of the order warlocks shouted.

" . . . Stay focused and stay calm," Batari said before I could even form the words. "Dwyera continue casting the spell."

Without a word I continued to spell. However, I could feel the wavering and trepidation of those who were feeding to me their magic.

The lights in the room flickered and wavered. Even I admit this situation was very unnerving.

Suddenly the lights went out and the shaking stopped.

"Is it over?"

"No," I replied.

Instantly the room lit back up even brighter than before and a demonic looking shade was pressed against the barrier that protected us.
