For the next three weeks after three first one, more people came. Each one wanting to make a deal with the Dark One.
Sometimes it was every other day, sometimes day after day and even multiple people in one day. Sometimes it was two or three people at once.
Each person offered something of importance to The Dark One in exchange for something else.
Most offered objects of endearment. Some offered their memories. Some offered their very emotions
In return, some were granted a solution to a problem, money, health and healing of themselves or another. Most however wanted the love of another.
One even asked for the death of another. A wife who cheated and a husband in pain. She granted everyone's wish with a smile on her face. No lifting a finger to stop it.
Each gave a valued possession, and as each deal was struck they touched that evil orb, and then it was as if the life was drained from them.
I can't take it, I had to watch as each made the deal. No one walked away.
I can't let this keep going, I have to stop it.
I have to end this.
